ОтветитьGod bless Her Majesty Elizabeth II 👑! I can’t say that for anything CNN had to say during their coverage.
ОтветитьAl-Jazeera is from Qatar, not Singapore. Mediacorp in Singapore operates a channel called Channel News Asia (or just CNA for short).
ОтветитьAlmost 1 year ago today... wow. RIP Queen Elizabeth II...
ОтветитьI think the BBC and ABC (Australia) handled this the best.
ОтветитьAs a Filipino, when I saw our local new’s of the Queen’s death. I saluted for respect
Ответить😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Ответить10 months ago today ❤️😭
ОтветитьI believe that she knew that she was going to die and deliberately chose to do that in Scotland because of the issue surrounding the future of our UK. The week following her death showed her first as the Queen of Scots before the journey to London where she was Queen of the UK and her other realms. We saw the crown of Scotland on her coffin which is a first. The royal standard of Scotland on her coffin and lying in state at St Giles Cathedral. We saw Charles as King of Scotland and he made William immediately Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Earl of Chester, Earl of Carrick and Duke of Rothesay, Lord of the Isles and Prince and High Steward of Scotland.
I believe it showed two Kingdoms United under one monarch. A head of state above politics.
"globally" showes all english speaking news outlets
ОтветитьFunniest thing I’ve ever seen 😂
ОтветитьYou almost thought that she would NEVER kick the Royal Bucket. God Rest the Queen.
ОтветитьChris 😢
Xxx
Next time I see some smug Brit on Quora deliberately making a snide remark when someone posts a question about the Queen (or King) of England meaning recent monarchs about how there hasn't been one of those since the unification and complains about ignorant Americans I'm going to link them to the Irish and the Canadian reporters here who certainly should know better.
ОтветитьWe all knew it would happen, yet we still weren’t ready for it
ОтветитьShannon Smith of Fox News had one DAMN job to get it right and she botched it horribly!
ОтветитьLarry Rude❤
ОтветитьIt’s the end of an era and queen Elizabeth will be sadly missed by all of us during her long reign
ОтветитьChabela entregó la chala
ОтветитьMaybe if she stanned loona she wouldn't have died 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьWhere’s nz
ОтветитьAh yes globally means the 6 countries of US UK Canada Australia Ireland and Qatar. very "global" indeed 🙄
ОтветитьRest in peace to Her Majesty. God Save The Queen.
ОтветитьIt's words we never thought we ever hear

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice’s length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it’s fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive–
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forever-more.

ОтветитьSince Elizabeth II died, there has been much publicity, not so much thought about why she matters. The monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera, nor as mere material to fill newspapers. Why is monarchy helpful ? In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important one. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace".
Of course Elizabeth II & Prince Philip had their failings as parents; King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the service they give, and for the difference the monarchy makes for the better, in the UK & the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century, or over world war, economic failure or loss of empire in the 20th. Canada & Australia were given self-government under the British crown, and they have avoided secession and civil war. Both abolished slavery peacefully; both were helpful to defeating the aggressors in the two world wars. That was partly because they had the same head of state as Britain.
There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the huge, tangible power for peace and stability the British crown is for everyone in Britain, the commonwealth and for the world. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.
Rest In Peace Queen, your son Charles is now a king, May she Rest In Peace

ОтветитьItaly 🇮🇹 is a Republic but Queen Elizabeth II has been "our Queen"
ОтветитьQueen Elizabeth was such a wise woman. I admire her wisdom. My favorite quote from her is "I so hope that the Lord returns within my lifetime, so I may cast my crown at his feet." What an amazing woman. May she rest in peace.
ОтветитьAl Jazeera is from Doha, not Singapore
ОтветитьGood riddance to bad evil vile woman
ОтветитьIt was a sad day for me. When I heard she passed I cry a little.
