Never used these ,but i do have the tc electronics flashback tripledelay and its a beast on the 2290 settings...
ОтветитьDelay tones are the winner in this competition
ОтветитьA lot of the utilities on the sde3k and the wdw routing give it something a little more than the tc, but at the cost of menu diving. I’ve heard from some users the dial buttons on these make it an even slower procedure through it. I would still go for one though.
+1 for the sde3kevh
Smaller isn’t better… frickin hate guess tapping with my feet on stage
ОтветитьI have both of them and also the original ones. All are great – the new ones are much smaller and cheaper than the 19 inch units. The old units maybe sound a bit warmer, less clean. For me there's no winner of these two. Both have an another approach to delay (and more) and both are great units.
ОтветитьSDE3000D owner here, who was struggling between these two. I chose the SDE because it's a DUAL stereo delay with all the associates routing options. The 2290p is a single stereo delay and is less versatile.
With all the sde options, you can route a chorus into a delay, or build a stereo chorus/flanger with two independant chorusesglangers (kind of a bi-chorus thing).
It doesn't mean the sde is better, it means that it can do things that the 2290p does not. A lot. For me this would give an extra point to sde. But not everybody needs this versatility. Besides, you need a stereo setup to really measure the difference, which is far less needed (even if it's way better) with the 2290p.
I would add that the panning algorithm sounds better in the 2290p for me than the one on the sde. Personnal.
