ОтветитьChecking my understanding and asking a question: in the key of G, an A chord is called something like the fifth of the fifth, right? In the same key, an F chord shows up frequently. Is that the fourth of the fourth, or would it be called something else? PS, your communication style is clear, direct and gentle. If someone is offended by it, that is on them. Your compassion and fairness show up and your willingness to apologize when you did nothing that requires an apology.
ОтветитьAmazing Sir.
ОтветитьThis is great!
ОтветитьJust learned so much from this video, has helped me understand all of the questions I had and then some, thank you
ОтветитьCircle of Fifths: I suspect it is a message from an ancient cult or early Masons. Actually if you look at the colour wheel, it is quite similar: you get complementary, monochromatic, spilt-complementary, analogous, triadic, and tetradic combinations of notes gathered and grouped from sections of the circle. It makes sense.
ОтветитьOnly recently found your channel. You have managed to explain what no other could seem to do.
Outstanding
Hey Brian,
It’s five years ago since you made this video. I hope you get my comment here in 2023.
I’m just learning music theory and I’ve seen half a dozen Circle of Fifths videos and printed out copies.
But your tips really opened up how to use the circle like I’ve never seen! Believe me, it was like doors opened and sunshine poured in while a choir of angels sang!
Seriously, it was the best. None of the other videos opened the keys like yours.
Thanks,
Gianni❤
Very clearly presented🙏🙏🏿👍🎩🎵✨
ОтветитьThank you so much for making this. In a world of misinformation and total confusion this made concrete sense. You explained in such depth and the visuals helped so damn much. Pretty much changed my life.
ОтветитьLove this lesson!
ОтветитьIts so amazing how guys like brian appear so unassuming but have so much knowledge ( more than most can handle ) on theory where it unlocks so much joy for the person who understands it. I love this guy.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial ..I’m not a fan of tattoos but I may draw this learning on my arm with a biro…best explanation I’ve seen 🙏👍👍👍
ОтветитьYou use BEAD to get all this in your head ?
I prefer to use an icepick myself 🤪
I've been an ambient noodler for the better part of forty years. Always felt as though I was musically dyslexic when came to musical theory/fundamentals. Seriously speaking here. I could listen and comprehend but couldn't put it into action. That all changed 180 degrees after watching Brian's channel. Mr. Kelly is able to communicate in very simple, very specific and relatable, guitar theory and fundamentals. He does this better, quicker, and more simply than anyone/ teacher , I've ever seen or heard. Brilliant, Im forever thankful.
ОтветитьWow, amazing video man. I knew the circle of fifths existed and that it supposedly was very usrful, but I always found explanations so confusing. You explain it so clearly. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьAdam Sandler's brother
Ответитьone instructor explained the order of sharps as, " French College Girls Do Almost Everything Better. " I created a phrase for the order of flats, " By Exercise And Diet Gain Control Forever. " I like your idea better thank you..
ОтветитьI love this channel!
ОтветитьThe best explanation of the circle of 5ths I've ever heard, thanks for posting.
ОтветитьVery nice.
Ответитьsoooooooooooooo glad i found you!
ОтветитьThank you this is very helpful
ОтветитьHi Brian, regarding the “Diatonic Chords” wouldn’t it also be helpful to describe the organization of these chords (once you’ve identified the root as your #1 chord) as also being in alphabetical order?
In this manner, when looking at a diagram of “The Circle Of Fifths” it becomes easy to then identify the chords 2 thru 6.
PS: great video with info that really opened my eyes and mind.
Thankyou , very helpful
ОтветитьHeh heh tattooed on your arm.
Ответитьnice one👍
ОтветитьLots of good info. Thanks.
Ответить“Bead” hint very good. Don’t know how many times I’ve looked at the circle of 5ths and had not realized that. Thanks. AT
ОтветитьVery informative. I've never touched a guitar but this will help tremendously with my 🎹 music.
ОтветитьAwesome. This will help with my Hunt and Peck style of playing and writing music. Heard about the Circle of 5th. Thank you for a very informative lesson.
Ответитьyou are a fantastic teacher

You speak slow and clear. And give powerful clear understanding information without it been to garganey thank you brother 🙏 🇬🇧
Absolutely awesome. Thank you for sharing your video 💙💙👍👍
ОтветитьThis was extremely helpful! I've been unpretentiously studying a bit of music theory and this video taught me A LOT in a short preiod of time. lol I've watched many videos on the Circle of Fifths, but yours was simple, straightforward and clear. Having it explained by a guitar player totally made the difference for me. Keep up with the good work, Brian! Thanks for sharing! You've got a new follower! 👍
ОтветитьThank you Sir
ОтветитьYou convinced me with this lesson
Subscribed bro
Brian, good job. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhen you keep forgetting the circle of fifths, so you get it tattoo'd on your forearm so you don't have to remember it
