Thanks you for the information. am getting feeling of dizziness for last 20days & even my blood sugar also got low once .after blood test nothing found out. I am weekly alcoholic. But complications arise in last three days. I felt fear of dying, numbness, nausea , dizziness. I went to emergency ro hospital check my bp & heart rate all came nomal. But i still having those symptoms. Then next day same feeling & got checked my bp & heartbeat all came Norma but that negative feeling didn't got away. I again went to emergency and they referred me to psychiatry ward. After there 2 doses. I felt highly relieved. I kind of thought same paranormal things might have induced on me. But after the medication i am felling much better. . After these symptoms i realised to my soul that panic attacks are real & as serious as other diseases. Thanks you for the video❤❤❤

I’ve had anxiety ever since I can remember.
My mother lost 13 babies in between my brother and I, and I believe I absorbed all her anxiety during the time she carried me. I was two months early so I know she was no doubt, worried to death.

Wow... came across this video by total accident. I knew about Nadiya, lover her on the British Baking Show and watched her cooking series on TV but I had no idea about this struggle... I have always struggled with low self esteem and in the last year or two, with anxiety. That feeling she talked about: racing heart, going up to your head: that is me!! I have wondered what that was and now I know... this has been so helpful. I hope she gets to read the comments because I know this documentary will help people. Thank you for doing this!!!

For some reason, just knowing others go through it never actually helped me. Distraction does help a bit, but when a panic attack comes on, it just doesnt stop. And i have no reason to panic.... ive had this since 8 years old. I got hooked on opiates at 25, clean from opiates now but the anxiety is way worse. I can not function right now. Maybe I'll get better, maybe things will pass and I'll grow a new defense against it, but I'm tired of trying to calm myself, or taking a benzo to do it, but unfortunately, we are wired this way. Specific people. And some need benzodiazepines. Yeah benzos get a bad name but when used for the right reasons, just like pain meds, you grow a respect for them. I'd rather take a medication to calm down than damage my heart from constant panic.

I suffered my first and worst panic attacks at age 31. While I cannot say what will work best for those reading this comment, I would like to list the things that helped me, just in case it helps. EEG Neurofeedback, EMDR, vagus nerve exercises, chiropractic, deep breathing techniques (slow, abdominal breathing), Hydroxyzine (an antihistamine that helps anxiety), Xanax (an anti-anxiety medication), Lexapro (an antidepressant), yoga, walking, and talk therapy. A certain amount of exposure therapy can be crucial as well.

They say anxiety won't kill you, you're safe during panic attacks but 20+ years with no relief HAS to be doing damage!
The lack of sleep, stress hormones constantly flooding my body?
I have done CBT for YEARS and it has BARELY helped. I can't take SSRI's and the majority of other meds used for anxiety. They won't prescribe me even limited benzodiazapines because of the risks. Now the constant state of terror is KILLING me.

This woman is overexaggerating like literally BUT what does not surprise me anymore is firstly not sorting out your health issues but instead jumping into the family state like nothings going on and then complaing and sobbing if kids are gonna get it! Like are you listening to yourself?! And millions do the same and then right the kids are not doing well cause of your traditional need to have them and falsly thinking its gonna do any better….Im raving on this. How can your fam be happy when you are not! They bullied you anyway you were supposed to tell parents they wanted you they must help first not you feeling sorry for every single human being, is it gonna help you, has it helped you, not!

I am so sorry you're dealing with this! I've had anxiety for some time now but it kicked into overdrive in May 2023. My new Dr. took me off of Klonopin and Zoloft because she was convinced they were no longer working because of how long I was on them. Worst move ever. I thought I was going to lose my mind it was that bad. Anxiety is no joke and is debilitating. My new Dr. put me on Lexapro in July. So far it's keeping the anxiety at bay. The worst experience of my life. Thank you for Lexapro!

I see her and feel so much for her pain. I struggle with anxiety but I’ve always had it so I don’t think I’d know what to do with peace. Staying busy and trying to numb myself is how I cope.

As far as I’m concerned, we need to stop emphasising the mental part of anxiety disorders. After countless therapy sessions throughout different eras with different mental health paradigms, 6 or 7 medications, reading book after book, trying supplement after supplement, I’ve become convinced this is a PHYSICAL malady. It has to do with the wrong food, and with blood sugar control. If you don’t believe me, fast for a few days and tell me your anxiety has not decreased a bit.

Given Nadiya's history of severe bullying and torture in school, it sounds like her anxiety and OCD is a result of trauma based fear/PTSD.

It sucks having anxiety i cant drink energy drinks, coffee, pre-workout otherwise i have anywhere from 1 to 4 panic attacks in a day. Im always thinking about things thankfully my 8 year know what to do if it happens and what it is. I was diagnosed at 19 learning how to deal with it. If anyone goes through this it gets better you just have to learn your triggers.

I've suffered from GAD and panic disorder for years. I see a therapist on a regular basis and I am on a combination of 3 medication (Celexa, Wellbuttrin and Olanzapine). The worse symptoms for me are the derealization and depersonalization. Almost in a psychosis state although it is not a psychosis. My thoughts race, are intrusive, and can be very dark. Even with medication I suffer, but I can work, take care of my son and go outside of my home. It's constant work and effort to ''stay sane''. I often feel alone and feel that no one understands. I see the world and the people around me, almost like they are in a different and better world, while I'm in mine sufferring.

I suffered since I was 9. Medication, therapy, eventually a beta blocker to keep my heart rate normal has helped. It all depends on how bad it is. Some are worse than others.

I have severe anxiety, and panic attacks, and some days l feel like l am hanging on by a thread. I am a female and was born into a Muslim family, l am also a Bengali like Nadia. I became a follower of Jesus, and left Islam and therefore my family cast me out. The pain and abandonment has contributed to my fears.I stand in the promises of Gods word (the Bible), and know that greater is the one in me, than the one in the world. Regardless of where this trial takes me, l will only praise Jesus louder.

Thank you Nadiya for telling us your story🙏

I fully understand you because I suffer from anxiety abd panic attacks too.

Like you, when I keep myself occupied with activities it's easier to deal with this problem.

I find breathing, 4 breaths in and 4 breaths out, through my nose, for 5 minutes at a time helps.

Gardening outside in fresh air and sun helps.

Passionflower tea, Lemon Balm tea and Camomile tea helps a lot.
