ОтветитьTears are running down my face, I gut absolute chills
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьIf this was really live how do they recorded the sound? I mean there is no visible mic and the sound is very consistent and stable. If anyone knows.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤queen
ОтветитьJennifer Hudson reminds me of Whitey Huston. Just an unreal voice.
Ответить💋😘YOLI
Ответитьone big sheesh
ОтветитьSo powerful!!
Ответить“Just to sit still would be a sin”
Ответить--Le quedó grande la canción. And I love her, but..... It just didn't hit the mark.
Too big of a song that she just couldn't handle it. We can hear she tried, but it just not her time.
She did AMAZING and it'll forever be an ICONIC performance in 'Dreamgirls' ...... Give her a few more years to get more life experience and gather the strength to portray the power and pain this song exudes. Maybe take some notes from Queen Latifah.
I love Jennifer Hudson on the American Idol
ОтветитьAnd this is a testimony as to why she is an EGOT. PERIOD.
Ответитьi come back to this every so often... i don't think i breathe for the last minute or so, it's just so powerful.
ОтветитьWow una voz maravillosa admiro a esta gran artista
Ответить“This is Idol and Jennifer I want that wig please and thank you!”
ОтветитьMy favorite song from this musical, no matter the rendition. Equally as tragic as it is beautiful. It reminds us of this country's problems without even needing to mention anything in specific. So many lives, so many families altered, destroyed, ended because of slavery and its legacy. So much hate levied against a group of people who never deserved it, and systemic bias against them at every level. It's insidious and awful, and although Hairspray takes place in 1962, this song is from much later. It was and is still relevant though, and this song is a reminder of that and the resilience of people in the face of adversity, the people and systems that fail them. It brings me to tears. I hope ome day that Black lives will stop being taken by supposed "law-enforcement", that people stop being blinded by privilege and wake up to help their fellow humans.
ОтветитьBetween this version of the song and the one from the 2005 movie I still can’t say that one is better than the other
ОтветитьThis special just launched on NBC only a DECADE after Jennifer stole our hearts in DREAMGIRLS the movie
ОтветитьWow just got chills ! Amazing singing Jennifer Hudson!
ОтветитьShe sang the HELL out of that
ОтветитьEvery time I hear Jennifer Hudson sing the song, it still brings a tears to my eyes with her amazing voice, and I noticed even the cast behind her was crying. There is no way anyone could not be move with this song. I fell in love with this song from the movie hairspray when queen Latifah sang it, and it only strengthened my love for this song, when I heard the live version from Jennifer Hudson. All I can say is bravo.!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьNow she's Grizabella.
ОтветитьSING IT JHUD!!!! What an icon!!! You can’t see it but I’m throwin my shoe!!!!
Ответитьno matter what Jennifer sings she sings with so much passion you can’t help but be mesmerized
ОтветитьWhat a FABULOUS voice!!!! Sends shivers down my back bone! brrrrrrrrrrrrr
ОтветитьContext to the story:They have a music studio or something like that but it got shut down due to white people and during this they are packing up
ОтветитьJust remembered this performance 3 years on, came back to watch it. Sublime.
ОтветитьThe voice… she had some of the cast mates crying! Beautiful ❤
ОтветитьThis was live. Wow. One of the best and most moving performances I have seen in my life. I keep coming back to watch this, and I still get goosebumps every time.
Ответитьbro even Link was crying!
ОтветитьTruly a once in a generation voice on this woman.

ОтветитьI'm crying to this
ОтветитьThere's a light in the darkness
Though the night is black as my skin
There's a light burning bright
Showing me the way
But I know where I've been
There's a cry in the distance
It's a voice that comes from deep within (yeah, yeah)
There's a cry asking why
I pray the answer's up ahead yeah
'Cause I know where I've been
There's a road we've been travelin'
Lost so many on the way
But the riches will be plenty
Worth the price, the price we had to pay
There's a dream in the future (dream)
There's a struggle that we have yet to win
And there's pride in my heart
'Cause I know where I'm going, yes I do
And I know where I've been
There's a road (there's a road)
We must travel (we must travel)
There's a promise (there is a promise)
We must make (that we must make)
But the riches (oh, but the riches)
Will be plenty (riches will be plenty)
Worth the risk (worth the risk)
And the chances that we take (and the chances that we take)
There's a dream in the future
There's a struggle (struggle)
That we have yet to win (we have yet to win)
Use that pride (pride)
In our hearts (in our hearts)
To lift us up (lift us up)
To tomorrow
'Cause just to sit still
Would be a sin
I know it, I know it
I know where I'm going
And lord knows I know
Where I've been
Oh! When we win
I'll give thanks to my god
'Cause I know where I've been
There's a light in the darkness
Though the night is black as my skin
There's a light burning bright
Showing me the way
But I know where I've been
There's a cry in the distance
