I've been enjoying your videos and I appreciate how you clarify the job role. I'm working to transition out of IT management into a cloud architecture role because I like designing solutions more than managing teams. At first I thought there was no way to make that happen since I wasn't deep enough into daily engineering & configuration. But thanks to your videos, I realize that's not a real obstacle. I'm "hands on" enough and I have all the other skills that Gartner mentions, plus I already know a good amount of Azure functions from my last five years of IT project work. I'm going for the Azure Solution Architect Expert certification this month, and then I can re-align my resume around the new skill set.

Hi Mike, i am great follower of your videos. very recently i have been appointed as an architect for cloud (aws & gcp). i don't have prior experience on it. could you suggest/help me out where should i start and what all the areas i have to focus more to get 100% onboarded. please advise, if you have any videos/articles on cloud architecture daily works/end to end system design.

Great video, Mike! This video helped me understand the distinct roles and titles of a cloud architect. I couldn't agree more with some of the comments about getting your video in front of more hiring managers and recruiters before posting cloud architect job descriptions.
