After his undergraduate studies at Binghamton University, Dr. Stern received a full scholarship to NYU College of Dentistry. During his time at NYU, he started to learn more about the oral surgery specialty. He was drawn to the more advanced treatments surgeons can perform, and he liked the immediacy of the results for his patients. Eventually, Dr. Stern decided to pursue a full Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. He completed a four-year residency program at Bellevue Hospital in the NYU Medical Center. After completing his residency training, Dr. Stern chose to complete the requirements necessary to become certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
