With India facing ever more powerful cyclones and extreme weather, the Sunderbans has been regularly battered by these intense monsoon storms, putting coastal communities and the mangrove's ecology at risk.
The women of the Sunderbans, along with a local non-profit and the West Bengal government aim to plant around 10,000 mangrove saplings to help restore the loss caused by extreme climate events in the world's largest mangrove forest.
