you should look into how many are used in memes. big part in this factor too
ОтветитьOne thing that's great about vox is that every minidoc like this is as dense as lead, the problem however is thatcit means that the months of research get put into sub-half hour blocks
ОтветитьWow, those record label deals are such a scam!!!
ОтветитьThat was so good. Thank you
Ответитьwow, that was one of the best documentaries I've watched to understand music business in our present days! thanks
Ответитьi remember his videos omg can't believe he fooled me so good, i really thought it was his mom
ОтветитьIncredible journalism, fascinating subject
ОтветитьBut I never heard the answer to, ‘what happened then?” So they get signed, or walk out for their first show, how much money do they earn and how? No mention of income! Is it all internet sales, placement on TV, concert merch, how? If so, over what period of time? How does a tic toc ‘hit’ earn money? Unanswered. 🤯
ОтветитьIt's nice that people now listen to songs that are whole 15 seconds long... Amazing!
ОтветитьThis is gold! This really represents the shift of every industry - A24 in movie industry and many self published writers. The time of big abusive and stealing corporations is going down and maybe this is the reason why so many companies are shrinking and thinking about lowering costs rather than innovating! Invest your time in quality art and use content just to share it.
ОтветитьCapitalism, creativity’s virus
ОтветитьNow wonder how the music industry used this same tactics to steal billions worth of value from Black musicians …
ОтветитьWatching this video until I hear a decent song
ОтветитьThis is fascinating research. Kudos to yall! As a social media manager, I need more videos like this please!! I also love that yall mentioned these artists need to go on tour to expand their exposure. In real life experiences are just as important as the digital.
ОтветитьThis one clip of him eating popcorn tough 😂
ОтветитьThe way this is before JVKE’s golden hour really blew up and went top 10 on billboard, he’s very smart for not signing
Ответитьi hate tiktok
ОтветитьSo how many of them are actually wealthy now and not making 100k a year forced to upload 16 times a day. That’s my question.
ОтветитьGreat job. Thank you!
Ответить15% of them are being able to make a living touring is NOT a fair number
ОтветитьIs there any one tell me about these guys video exporting bitrat size ????????
Ответить"This is how easy it is to manipulate the internet into making you a millionaire"
ОтветитьThis topic needs more research🤔 like this it looks mostly like promo
ОтветитьGreat video Vox!!!
Ответитьthis is sad
ОтветитьCan someone please explain to me what is the value added of TikTok and why millions of people are on it? I just can’t think of anything useful on there
Ответитьthis is fascinating (also disturbing in a way) and explains a lot about internet culture, thank you for this vox.
ОтветитьRespect to the amount of work/research you guys do for a 10-15 minute video/content. Love you guys. Keep it up 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьAs someone who has recently been posting on BandLab for fun and just finished my first song, this is important <3<3
ОтветитьFascinating
ОтветитьMr whiskers became the system he despised. Nice 👍🏼

Ответитьjustin beiber
ОтветитьNo artist are not just content creators because music is always the playlist to life.. and some of those songs will last in peoples memories forever and mean much more than just a piece of content
ОтветитьTikTok killed music. Real music.
ОтветитьExcellent video and valuable information. Good to hear indie artists who are able make a living from these platforms. But how long does it last, how far are artists like JVKE able to carry an actual music career? Far I hope! ☺
There's also the reality of : what if your music isn't "commercialable," tiktokable?" I notice those who draw attention have a formula, a setting that is a draw, and keeps us coming back. So it's not just your music, it's also your presentation too.
If you can put out a great tiktokable song / music in the form of an experience, and if your music also has the potential to be used by others in their own TikTok channels, for their own outputs / videos, it then multiplies.

Ответитьsooooo interesting thank you for the work ! The impact TikTok has on the music industry really fascinates me and this was so much interesting data and information to help me understand it more thanks !
ОтветитьWell.
- You have TikTok viral hit
- major label give you 1 mln $
- label try hard and promote your track to return they money back
- you go on tour and make more money
And this is bad for a musicians???? Really???
Kids, never listen and never read books written by some untalented loser musicians.
Music is money and if you get a 1mln from 1 song it's a best scenario ever!
Really well documented video!!!
