As a mental health therapist, please stop talking about what is and isn’t trauma. This isn’t your wheel house. Some trauma impacts the brain. Trauma is not a fall off a jungle gym, or a $15 million loss. Trauma is something that changes your feeling of safety in the world. Our bodies are designed to have fight or flight responses and sometimes they go in hyperdrive. The “extremes” you use, aren’t even the tip of the iceberg for the trauma some experience.
ОтветитьI'm hoping to end the rat race by 60, I’m 52, $600K net worth. Money is a liability, not an asset. You have to exchange it for assets that represent real value. Real estate - properties for rent. Stocks (dividends). Bonds (interest), funds, REITs (interest) So, what is it with Gold?
ОтветитьAlex exerts such a substantial amount of stoicism & it’s great to watch. He embodies it to a T.
ОтветитьLmaooooooo bro, he takes trt. Not creatine 😂😂
ОтветитьWhos is this guy. this podcast is fckingi amaziing
ОтветитьGraham, I recommend switching microphones. This setup forces guests to stay leaned forward for hours.
Hurts my back just watching as I like the ability to lean back and be relaxed.
Dont do botox it will make you look worse than before doing it and less wise.. and it will cost money you could have built something meaningful with..
Ответитьlike the video
ОтветитьAlex is a pragmatist
ОтветитьI find it widely interesting that his perspective on the narrative he tells himself on actual facts is what determines how he will react emotionally. This applied to the trauma example he gave in comparison to his experience with his cat's death is that he will change the narrative to what will serve him best, negating the fact that an average cat's life is well.beyond 18 months. But like he said, if that works for him, it is justified. Interesting podcast
ОтветитьWould LOVE TO SEE ALEX build an AI-driven NEGOTIATION SERVICE utilizing behavioral prediction algorithms built from extensive negotiation scenario data sets. This could guide individuals and businesses in contract or salary negotiations, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for all parties involved. (credit to Jakob Greenfeld newsletter)
ОтветитьThis 3 guys convo is fantastic! Great Pod
ОтветитьNo idea if you'll see this but a higher F stop on your camera will keep both people in focus.
ОтветитьIts actually a proven fact that flexing increases testosterone.
ОтветитьLol the "weak chin" comment from Jack.
ОтветитьHello everyone! With the current downturn in the market, can anyone tell me if they've ever had experience with a personal financial advisor that can be trusted and that can guarantee huge returns on any investments I make. If you can recommend anyone i will be happy to check him out, thanks.
ОтветитьI appreciate Alex and I think most of what he says can be really insightful, but man it was hard to listen to the "trauma isn't real" segment. I listened to this yesterday and immediately was taken aback by what he was saying then throughout the rest of the day as I reflected it only seemed worse. To be clear, I think he's addressing a very real problem in that "trauma" is an overused term that people diagnose themselves with and ultimately becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. In that instance, yes, it can be as simple as deconstructing the narrative you are telling yourself. But to say trauma isn't real for anybody is just him stretching too hard to reach a tell-it-like-it-is, mic drop soundbyte. A soldier who witnesses violence on the battlefield and has PTSD is not just telling himself the wrong story about his accelerated learning. Even the analogy Alex uses of the 15 year old girl getting married off 300 years ago doesn't work, as even if they are telling themselves a narrative that they are being a "good daughter" in doing so, we have no reason to suspect that it wasn't just as scary and damaging for them mentally as it would be today, in a world where that is not acceptable. On a semantic level, yes, no one thing that happens is definitively trauma, but that's because trauma is defined by its effects. If you experience something horrific and as a result you develop symptoms that a professional would use to diagnose you with PTSD, then that experience was trauma. Just because some people misuse and abuse that term does not mean we have to do away with it completely.
Ответитьoof jack... " i heard this from tucker carlson..." isn't something you want people to hear you say...
ОтветитьI love Alex, Graham, and jack. but why Graham look like he got stung by a bee
ОтветитьYou do things today that you were rewarded for in the past. You don’t do things that you were either not rewarded for in the past, not sufficiently rewarded for in the past or that you were punished for in the past.
I am /insert characteristic or trait/ because of x. Remove the x and if the trait doesn’t serve you, flip it and find evidence from your past or present to support the new belief.
Need to get elon musk on here!!
ОтветитьThe guy on the left - sits frowning as he watches the guests and constantly moves his leg up and down under the table - it looks like a nervous response. He does it on every podcast and it comes across as though he's 'out of his depth' with the conversations happening.
ОтветитьHey no breathe air strips!
Ответить<3
ОтветитьNetsuite sucks
ОтветитьAlex: “Why am I sad?”
Also Alex: “don’t ask why”
😂
Great podcast gentlemen🙌🏻
The amount of ads in this episode is insane
ОтветитьThis guy is a talker of all talkers man.
ОтветитьIf you put yourself into the “being” of someone who will act regardless of what they feel, that is still an identity. And that helps you act.
Who you are is vastly important.
It does influence what you do— Alex’s stance is that he “is” a person who will act no matter what — that still lays down a way to “be” first.
It’s kinda cringey for his to place him as God via Solomon.
ОтветитьAnnual Visits of Hormozi? Have him on Quarterly💯
This is my favorite podcast to listen to with Alex as your guest. You guys have the best banter going back & forth with him out of all the Podcasters out there👌🏼
Keep crushing it🔥🔥🔥

Ответитьwhat about ftx mr lier lier pants on fire .
ОтветитьAlex is great, but trauma is not his field. Ppl dont want OCD fex, which may come from trauma. Ppl dont understand the term.
ОтветитьHormozi is like the Liverking of business.
ОтветитьI would watch non stop your channel if you would have Alex non stop here 😂
Ответитьwell played
ОтветитьBeginning was crazy glazing 😂
ОтветитьSTOP IT WITH THE CONSTANT AD SPAMMING
ОтветитьI am honored to be in this timeline listening to Alex and see him grow into this TITAN.
ОтветитьBANGER! Also, the way Alex shares everybit of information and then disclaims it, is genius. I got the value he meant to share and the critics' lips are sealed all at the same time.
ОтветитьWho edit's this? I would have fired them long ago.
The ad spots sucks. Put some dead air, like 2 or 3 seconds before and after them.
