Caracas is near the coast, but it is still around 3000 feet high. It takes a good 30 minutes to drive up through the mountains to reach it. My grandpa came from Paez's region. He was his spitting image.

Gran Colombia's name is actually Colombia. Gran Colombia is the name given to the nation before it started to divide; this was done to differentiate modern Colombia with past Colombia
