This was the best scene in all the movies. Truly moving and insane.

This chapter made me cry so much when I read it. You can still see in my book where the tears dropped in the pages. Just reading about what he went through as a boy, his undying love for Lily, and the pain it caused him absolutely broke me 😢

Here's the thing though, Snape had no issue being the bad guy until Lily was caught in the crossfire...i don't diminish his love and his choices after, but it doesn't erase his past evils.

Movie portrayed him in a better light than the books tbh. To put it bluntly, Snape had a one-sided love he could never get over and only liked Lily. In the books, even during the memory scene, he blatantly admits his distaste for Harry. Ppl forget he was a death eater who detested lilys family (both married and before).

Alan Rickman does a marvelous job and I believe that if someone else was cast for Snape, he may have been thoroughly disliked

Severus was a hell of a double agent. Tom considered Severus to be a loyal and good friend (as much of a friend as Tom would allow lol)...image how hard that had to be for Severus to sit next to Tom at meetings, or talk to him as if none of that had happened. Plus, Tom was an exceptional wizard and Snape had to be that much better at hiding his true nature.
I guess Dumbledore really had Tom figured out....Tom doesn't understand love.

Sounds stupid but I always say to the people I live I'd do something like that as way expressing how much I love them. I don't think anyones actually realised what I'm trying to say.

For all the people, me inclusive, who watched (or read) and loved Harry Potter since the first film (or book) was released...this revelation hit so damn hard

Harry was the horcrux Voldemort never meant to create

A lot of people forget that Snape asked Voldemort to kill James and Harry but to spare Lily.

In this moment when Dumbledore become the audience enemy and Snape become the favorite character. 😁

I read again the half blood prince and i just noticed that at the end, when harry is running after snape, he is insulting him, saying he's a coward because of dumbledore's death. And Snape screamed at harry to not call him a coward. He was so calm everytime, however he lost control with this insult.

And now they wanna remake this masterpiece of movies😢😢 it really ain’t fair i wished my mom was alive to have seen the movies she’s the reason I read the books and watched the movies

wanna know what is funny? Lily chose James all because Snape stuck up for himself against James, and called him a bad name, and lily being young, stupid, stuck up didn't care how long those two had had their friendship first, she chose James who was pretty much a dickhead in his time, Snape deserved way better than lily.

why they act like never watch this movie before but we all know the movie has already released 10 years ago.

Severus will ALWAYS be my most fav character of HP series😢 His undying love for Lily till the end is unbeatable by anyone else..🤧 and i love the fact that Harry finally know this and gave Severus's name to his son and said that he is one of the most bravest men he has ever known🥹

i don't think they ever mentioned in the movies that Lily's patronus was a doe as well which is why dumbeldore knows that significance of snape's taking the same shape

Dumbledore knew that part of Harry had to be "killed" the part of Voldemort inside him, the horcrux piece. Being "killed" with the Avada Kedavra curse would kill the horcrux within, not Harry himself (as we see played out) Harry had to be unaware of this to protect him and the plan since Voldemort was able to see into his mind and create false illusions which we see Harry act on a few times. That's why Dumbledore and Snape did not tell anyone else. They are powerful and Snape was a master at occlumency so he could protect his mind from others trying to invade, something Harry never fully learned. Also, Snape disliked James Potter because James and his friends all bullied him which is also seen in his flashbacks. Lily stood up for Snape during those times. James was a bully and Harry was unaware until he saw these flashbacks. He ends up naming one of his sons after Snape and Dumbledore. James Sirius Potter, named after Harry's dad and Harry's godfather, and Albus Severus Potter, named after Dumbledore and Snape.

I read somewhere before that snape and harry had a very similar childhood but the opposite. Harry is "the boy who lived" while Severus is the boy who never got a chance to live.

Idc what anybody says if you a gangster or if you never cried before if you watch the Harry Potter films or watched snapes memories you will cry I promise you 100%you will cry 😢😢
