Well this city from one side is comfortable and very friendly, but this terryble noise of scooters 24 hrs destroyed brain😢

I've just been there few days ago, people drive much faster than this video, maybe because I was driving on rush hour, it was insane how fast everyone accelerate, they drive to the speed limit, but acceleration is something else. lol

In case anyone is wondering, yes in Taipei they have a very elaborate bike sharing system which you see pick-up/return stations almost every 2 blocks. And most pedestrian walkways have dedicated bicycle lanes with clear marking. A system that could never work in US or parts of Europe even.

In my recent trip there 2 months ago, their app now even shows the remaining free bikes / free docks at each station so you could plan your ride.
I'm a very picky person but I could still choose between 30-40% of the bikes that are in top condition and cleanliness.
Very often seeing faulty bikes being serviced/replaced (turning the seat 180° backwards is the common language of bikes being faulty).
Low cost locomotive for short distances (0 charge if you ride for 1/2 metro stations) and even long distances like dedicated scenic routes.

Really not much I could complain as a tourist, except for apps like Google Maps aren't very smart about planning routes and roads that do/don't have a bike lane.

Taiwan Province people are the most narcissistic people in China, probably because they are located on an island.

I travel Taipei in 2019 . The city seem not well develop, buildings and streets facilities are outdated and looking shabby. Mainly the problem is the traffic is a mess
