I buy GOG if it's between steam and gog on release. Ppl complain about physical media disappearing how about your own ssd full of installers ? But if it's not on gog its steam only

Any time I use a PC storefront that isn't Steam, I inevitably end up saying to myself "You know... this is so easy to do on Steam. Why is it so annoying here?".

It's honestly shocking how many storefronts lack basic quality of life features. How many years did it take before the Epic store finally got a shopping cart?

Like seriously, Gamejolt has everything that Steam has and more. You like Steam because of the community aspect? Boom, Gamejolt gives even more focus to that part! You like Steam because of the indie titles? Boom, Gamejolt has more (this also applies for free games)! You like Steam because you are a game maker and it's the easiest and most open platform to publish your game? Well, maybe second one, because Boom, Gamejolt is much better with its creators!

Been mainly a console player since NES times until the disappointing current generation of consoles. But now I spend most of the time playing on PC thanks to Steam for creating the environment.
Steam Deck + Switch (for Nintendo exclusives) is the golden spot for me and I don't need anything else.
(Unless Sony finally makes bloodborne 2 or demons souls 2. Then I'd be forced into buying a ps5 or ps6 or whatever..)

Steam isn't just a marketplace, it's also kinda the gaming social media platform. From your profile, to sharing screenshots, guides, community hubs, etc. This is probably the biggest reason I also stick with Steam, besides just liking to have all my games in one spot

touching settings is usually a 2 minute procedure with me (though i've been a PC gamer for life, so it's become second nature at this point), but it's not even that big a deal imo. Especially for sound settings, why tf does everyone wanna deafon me ffs. I almost never rebind keys though.

played Titanfall 2 for the first time awhile back and can't believe there aren't sound setting for the campaign. Just the multiplayer.

steam suck, y'all don't understand. Steam suck for devs (steamworks is the biggest piece of crab i have ever seen). I admit other store sucks, but there is one who is awesome, epic game store. Stop trash talking on it, it better than all y'all crab store! And don't talk of innovation cuz valve made proton... Epic made unreal engine 5 and quixel, that why all the recent game look awesome.

Also, the fact that Steam lets you family share game so that you don’t have to buy them and how you can download the games to multiple pc
