Steven, I remember watching this video when it first came out, and have used this idea since. Over time I added stuff, removed stuff, found relationships etc.
I have found drawing on daily levels, previous 2 days highs and lows, and I added VWAP.
If double pattern shows at any of these then it's a trade. If VWAP is at the target of the double pattern its a trade as well. (VWAP is either repelling or attracting price) and I always use the aggressive entry.

If VWAP is at the neckline, then I wait and either wait for the confirmation, or the rejection of neckline before entering.

Simple rules, simple trading, using the initial idea that you have shared with us.

This is a trending strategy obviously, and my second consolidation strategy is simply double bottoms and double tops within the top or bottom of the consolidation range.

Does not having the RSI divergence nullify the possibility of a double top? For example, the RSI at the 1st top is 55 and then the RSI at the 2nd top is 65

I get confused when I can change timeframes and see what I want (or don't want) to see.
For example, a DOUBLE-TOP is NOT present in a 15 minute chart, but it's there in the 1min chart. If the 1min chart is good, and it goes down, it's something I wouldn't have seen if I was using say a 4-hour chart for structure and a 15 minute for patterns.
