How To Overclock Ryzen 5! (The EASY Way)

My PC shut off at 3.9ghz and 3.6 GHz aswell

I upgraded to a RYZEN 5 4500 cpu and on the first day I regretted it because when I got home and started downloading/installing games the CPU temperature reached 70º which is not normal, well, I had an INTEL (i5 4460) and in these cpu's it is not normal to reach 70º when installing games, I have a new CPU but I haven't played for fear that it will ruin the CPU and other components of the PC , basically I've been with a PC for a week and I've upgraded the CPU, RAM and of course the motherboard, I've wasted a lot of hours to cancel the overclock and I don't know and I can't I've seen a lot of videos but all different with my BIOS (msi version 5) this video seems to be the one with the most information but messing with the BIOS always makes me very uncomfortable, what I would like to know is what number do I put in the cpu frequency ?
my RYZEN 5 4500 cpu has a base of 3.6 GHz and the max boost is 4.1GHz and my cpu even reaches 4.2 so yeah it's overclocked I think, in the cpu I had that when it reached Turbo Boost it didn't mean it was overclocked, in the RYZEN it seems that the max boost means it's overclocked, everything I knew about INTEL cpu's doesn't seem to apply to the RYZEN ones...

running ryzen 3200g clock mulitplyer @ 42 default cpu volt totally stable at 4.2ghz all core, might tinker with volt and see if can get 4.3 or 4.4 ghz

I was looking at pc parts and realised, I'm broke. So while I save I thought I may as well try overclocking my 1600x

My Ryzen 5 1600 stock cooler with no voltage changes goes 90c + and shut itself off with stress test prime95, what can I do?

This is ridiculous in the bios you can go up to 4.2 - 4.3. Ryzan already comes with 3 -5 presets OC.

Am I the only one here in 2022?
BTW, I'm planning to get a R5 1600, not AF, will get AF if I can find, is 1600 still good in 2022, I know it's a 1st gen processor, but still looking out for advice

For the Last tip on the final tips list when it's says to clear cmos in case something is locked. My case is that I literally can't do an OC due to the CPU Core Ratio tab is locked on auto, it can't be changed, so I clear the cmos and it was well done as long as at startup showed like if it was first time opening, but nothing changed, my mother is a Rog Strix F Gaming II, I've searched already for some help but there's not too many similar cases, and one I could find it was the same advice, to reset everything to fabric. If someone could help I will definitely appreciate it. Last, my CPU is a R5 1600AF

R5 1600 but I’m getting 90-oc shut off when I’m games my idle is pretty low at 30-50c any tips I’m ocing it @3.6ghz 1.375 freq any tips?

Don't try it on a Lenovo Tiny. It won't work because Lenovo writes ther own bios and has it too propriatery for anything but stock settings. other manufacturers did this years ago and they are no longer in business because of trhis very BAD control freak idea.

My motherboard supports 2933 and my ram supports 2933 (THEY ARE RUNNING AT 2666 FOR SOME REASON)
but when i change it to 2933 in the bios it wont boot anymore. i need to reset the whole mobo using the cmos

Do not adjust your voltage if it keeps resetting it and it will let you over clock

Using ryzen master to oc, i get 4.2ghz all core on 1.4v , temps are max +-70 i think. Is the voltage too high?

Couldn't go higher than 4.4 at 1.35V, here. Obviously tested on prime95. I bought the cpu 6 months ago. Maybe it could depend on other voltages, however I settled for 4.3 at 1.275V (done using +.175V offset voltage), seems perfectly stable. I've 3800mhz at cl14 with infinity fabric at 1:1, so I guess it's part of the reason why I couldn't go higher with core overclocking

XMP is Not really overclocking. All it does is ensure your ram maintains it's highest possible rated speed.
