need help. suddenly my pc just powers off then wont power on, took off the psu cable n put it back on switch still wont power on have move my cabinate n then it powers on then again same goes of wont power on untill multiple trys, could it be the socket power issues? as its raining heavy could the surge protector trying to not boot to protect from power surge

I have used my PC normally since I bought it 2 years ago until October 2022. My PC unable to turn on then I went to a shop to fix. At the shop they did not do anything about my PC. The just plug in and can turn on it normally. This problem keep happen 5-6 times sometime can turn on at my house but now can't. I tried to use it at my friend house ( Different condominium ) it's not working too. I asked many friends and it may about house electric system. Do you have any equipment or any idea to solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have an older HP tower. Only used to store photos. I wanted to view the pics. It would not power up. I changed the battery. Changed power source. Still getting a A blinking green light. The light is showing up right at the back of the tower next to the power plug.

I just want to say thank you so much. My pc wouldn't start after a year I left it in good working condition. My problem was the cmos battery was dead, I just replaced it and now it turned on.

I know the switch is the problem but how do I use screwdriver to jumpstart

Hi Brian, just watched this and thank you for taking time out to help. I have just had my pc just turn it self off while I tried to start up pc game and it won't come back on. Its only 3 years old. Thing is I was thinking it may be power supply but I have pc desk with lights on it that still come on cause it plugged in to pc but the rest of pc is dead. Not had a chance to do proper diagnostic on it but wondering if you could give any ideas for this fault before I pulling it apart.

By reading the comments I finally found the solution for me I was gonna throw hands after 8 hours of finding the problem

Wouldn't have thought about using the reset button to power it on. LOL Thank you so much! Turns out my power button was just not working So I I had to pull a power switch and reset button from another one of my Frankenstein PC's and Voila powered up like a champ! Liked and Subbed!

man thanks a lot you helped me,my computer was not turning on,so i used the reset sw little cable that connects on motherboard and plugged it on power sw pins and BAM my pc started using the reset button from case,what is more funny is that after that i plugged the power sw again on his place and worked again normally,so i think sometimes is just cables are not good quality (from cases) . but yeah right now is working normal,thanks a bunch !

i put in a new GPU and the pc cant boot anymore.I had the same GPU earlier but it broke so while i waited for the replacement i used a different less powerfull gpu and nkw that the 3060ti finnaly came after 5 months of waiting i stick it in my pc and i push the power button and notbing happens.then i realjse it screwed my PSU so i got a replacement and still nothing at all not even the fans spinning, its like its not getting any power at all.

Ok this is really late but, my cpu starts, you can hear the fan moving but it won't power up the desktop, (I use a VGA rather than a HDMI). No I can't open up the boot menu, bcs the desktop won't turn on, well it does but it says "No signal detected"

I tried to charge my drones battery while using a online pc and my pc just turned off instantly and won’t even power on. I used a normal usb to charge it but then I forgot that I had to use the cable what came with it, so I used the wrong cable. Guess they isn’t any way to fix this

Ssd 120gb hdd 250gb
P8h61 m pro motherboard
2x pc fans
I installed new psu cp 550 plus combat power

And my pc wont start nothing!
When I run pc with integrated hd 2000 pc powers on and it works I even test gt 710 in the pc . The pc starts normaly .

Maybe maybe my old psu killed my gtx 660 ti Idk I should test 660 ti in other pc but still to me looks like some power is missing not enough for power on my 150w gpu but impossible this is new psu cp 550 plus it has price like evga 500-550w psu it should be a nice psu...... Idk If I test 660 ti in other pc if it works than this psu is trash ....

my pc two weeks ago turned on normally, then when turning it off and turning it on again it did not turn it on, I changed the plug or disconnected and connected until and turned on, then it did not turn on anymore, I decided to change everything, new platinum certified power supply, CPU new (i9 1190k), and new motherboard, when I change everything and I give the power button, it does not turn on, only a small click is heard on the power source when pressing the button, nothing else, the source does not turn on or fans nothing, I have already seen 30,000 solution videos and nothing, I tried removing the cable that goes to the Mobo called power sw and putting a screwdriver to the pins and nothing, to discard the power button is not, new CPU, new power supply, motherboard new, everything well connected, the 24 pin cable well adjusted on both sides, well adjusted CPU power cable, it has the standoffs so that it does not stick the chassis and the motherboard, I already tried with everything disconnected from the motherboard except 24 pins and CPU p ower and nothing, I checked that the power supply button was on and I already changed the outlet, it only makes a click sound when I press the power button
