How to paint a stunning misty watercolor landscape

Dark painting with candlelight i woild like to see how thats done. I have seen oil paints and acrylic with that type pf scene but i wamt to know if water color can have that same effect?
By all means I am a heavy handed painter water color is very light handed so i struggle. I strted using water color pencils. I have not got the hang of using water color paints and even as a child was not very good with the watercolor palette that kids use and i have seen water color powder but I love to paint even though i am not great. It is relaxing and helps with destressing and very therapeutic.
Would like to know or see more and if you have tried any other types of watercolors types?

Beautiful style! You mention that you mist your paper quite often. Why do you not show us how you do that? I'm curious how much water you put on the paper each time. Also, what misting bottle to you recommend? Anything special?

I have liked loose styles as details sometimes make my paper fray. What kind of paper do you generally use?

I adore misty scenes. They just do something calming for me. However, im a strange person as i actually do not like splatters. I feel they detract from a beautiful painting and make it look the kid got at it. But to each their own eh? After all it IS your painting, not mine. And i love love love this one. Its simply perfect minus the splatter. Lol
