My go-to knot for attaching pens to my reception desk. Once you cinch the knot down it gets remarkably secure - and cordage is far less likely to break than those stupid ball-chain things that everyone else uses.

If you make your first pass under instead of over then you won't have to turn it around like you do

I like the fact that you change ends before you start doubling this knot ,but when you finish you should go under everything so that the end dose not stick out the middle like yours dose

👌Thanks for this tutorial, using this weave as a terminal knot at each end of a ringbolt hitch, as a grip wrap on an AR15 forend hand rail for a more firmer grip. Total length 7 inches, turks head to turks head. Totally satisfied with this nice & tight combo weave on my AR. I believe my application of this knot combo is unique among most of your subs and viewers. Thanks again for your inspired tutorial sir.
🇺🇲Stay well. Go in peace.

Your end that you have comming out of the middle of the knot should go under the knot and come out the other side I do like the fact that you tie the knot clockwise as most people who think they tie it clockwise use what should be the inactive end to finish the knot

Excellent, I managed the knot first time, using it to cover the join between handle and shank of a thumb stick - thanks very much - and you are right it looks better with 3 circuits!

Want to do the Turks head on some fishing rods at the top of the grip and at the heel of the grip. How do you secure the knot into place?

I do it different, but I taught myself. Do same over under over an through Top center. But I turn hand over to just 2 straight legs, so I pull rear over out side, that makes 2 over/under on back side, flip over hand an match mated trailing line through following first.

They can also be used as stoppers on just about anything they can be formed on; When I was in the service, they were used on cutters to prevent "zero f***s to give" types from sliding down rails on the ladders, and I've used them on tag lines at the bitter end.
Thanks for posting this, by the way.
