The answer is obvious, "DEPLOY THE MONKEY"!
ОтветитьMy first question is why won’t Subaru loan you a car like all the other reviewers. Hmmm
Next why are you taking this thing rock crawling. Oh wait that goes to my first question. It made it and so did it older version. Thumbs down. Just just another reviewer trying show what they are not made for. But can do it.
Man, you should learn to drive Subaru cars offroad.
Ответитьthis would have worked better with the proper tires for off-roading.
ОтветитьI use to have a 63 VW beetle- with regular worn out street treads that would have walked right up that no problem and EASiLY out do all these MoDERN " off-road" vehicles that - for all intents and purposes-- are named correctly-- they ShOULD BE PUT OFFROAD!!! period..
Ответитьthat " trail" you guys are on--- we call DRIVE WAYS back here-- and we all use REGULAR CARS and trucks... and the supposed " off-road" subaru can't get half way up.. TERRIBLE.
ОтветитьAfter researching from YOUR videos, Sara-n-tuned- Brian MAKSE (race driver) and many many more-- I've decided NOT to get a car--- but instead get a used 4Runner- 2010 up to 2022.. and CUSTOMIZE it to my liking..
ОтветитьTHIS is why subaru lasts so long-- they're NO GOOD and if youcan't USE them- they last right on and on.
ОтветитьI watched THIS and the Mazda CX-30 tested by Sarah-n-tuned, and (she doesn't "baby" them through the tests- she pushes them) she LOVED the CX-30 which EASILY out did the subaru, and it wasn't even the turbo version. Yes- You can build these up-- but WHY? the CVT (certified verifiable JUNK) and cheap materials it's made of- it even SOUNDS cheap-- like it's going to fly apart trying to get on freeway...
ОтветитьKinda late, but if you want to get a dog to stop jumping, often times disengaging is a good way to get them to learn! You remove interest and they try another way to get attention/express happiness with you!
ОтветитьYou should try it with a good driver.
ОтветитьI’ve got the 24’ premium, and I’ve taken it up to my paraglider launch sites, one of which in Tollhouse has some pretty steep sections and had absolutely no problems. It’s also dirt and gravel and has some deep ruts, and some articulation, but for a stock crosstrek i was pleasantly surprised.
ОтветитьIt won’t struggle if you remove traction control! Come on do real test please
Ответитьhow hard is it to create a subaru that has short front and rear overhangs? the approach angle is ridiculously bad
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to turn off the hill descent control when you put x mode on? Mine is stuck on and it’s killing me.
ОтветитьI have a stick so my shits actually good
ОтветитьYou would have more control with a manual. I hate automatics.
ОтветитьWho will drive like that? Gun it or stay on the street 😉
ОтветитьCvt here doesnt have a belt its a chain
ОтветитьSimply change those garbage tires to an all terrain and this course because 75 percent easier
ОтветитьMy 2014 orange Crosstrek is named Clyde after the Pac-man ghost
ОтветитьI've got a 2023 crosstrek 6 speed with no X-mode and it can climb really well even with the VCD turned on. I've had plenty of wheel slip and I can feel the VCD working the brakes and transferring power to the grip wheels. That said The manual option has the traditional viscous coupling center diff with the 50/50 split so that could have something to do with it. The CVT equipped models with MPT center diff are really 60/40 front wheel drive bias cars which Subaru doesn't really tell you 🙄.
I've been driving mine since late February and it has been a nice compromise between on road ice and snow performance and the BLM trials we have here in Northern Nevada. Previously I had a daily commuter car and my 4wd was a 1980's 4runner that I spent about 5 years building/rebuilding and while that was a tank off-road it left a lot to be desired on road. I got tired of having two cars and the crosstrek, in my mind, was a good middle ground between daily driving/getting to the trail and driving on the trail and I think so far I was right. Obviously there are limitations but I just keep a set of maxxtrax and a shovel in the car in case I find those limitations lol.
Little red devil, two inch suspension lift, more aggressive tires!
ОтветитьWow! Subaru really sucks.
Ответитьsmh learn to use the car properly before uploading a misleading video 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂ UNBELIEVABLE
ОтветитьI imagine you already acquired a name for her as I generally do come in late to these things. However I still like to cast my lot. You may call her "SUBRINA"...
ОтветитьUm.. faill. A) using stock tires, B) failing to read the owners manual about VDC
ОтветитьPress the button with a logo of a car and 2 swirl lines under it.
ОтветитьWhy do you refuse to test a manual? Subaru has the highest manual take rates. Foolish oversight.
ОтветитьSo your comparison old vs new is you going .1 MPH while choosing the most difficult line, and you expect to get up a hill, versus a guy going full speed? Lol. Obviously if you don't care about your cars health and you hit a line full speed youre going to most likely get over it...Albeit your car will take a beating.
ОтветитьShould have purchased a vehicle with conventional auto like Mazda cx30.
ОтветитьThis vehicle is not an SUV or meant for off-road, but it's a good mountain car. I've taken my old Ford Focus up that road you showed and it did fine. My Subaru should do so much better!
ОтветитьThe approach angle on these looks like it would be one of the biggest drawbacks off road.
ОтветитьA light spritz of h20 and blaze will chill. nice reporting.
ОтветитьYou have no idea how to use this car. Please do yourself a favor and read the manual.
ОтветитьYou didn't want the bigger engine because offroading isn't about horsepower? Have you heard of torque?
You make car review videos for a living?
I sank mine in a river. It didn’t make it out of that one. I’m kinda disappointed I’m gonna be real
Ответитьi would change the tires first thing + 2" lift kit with good shocks with the 180HP engine on outdoor Trim & at this price point you can easily save thousands to invest on your modifications
ОтветитьSome decent tires would help a lot.
ОтветитьAnd tell folks why Subaru dropped you. Lmao
ОтветитьHow do you plan on giving it a low range? I have a 2021 (also red 😃) 6mt, would love to have a crawl gear lol
ОтветитьX mode is for descending not for going uphill that’s why you could get up the hill
ОтветитьCourse looks easy peasy on video and pretty confident my old 99 maxima could do it. but who knows, could be way different in person. driver and momentum= key
Ответить"I like an automatic because I don't have to worry about stalling the car." What happened to real driving
ОтветитьRed Devil
ОтветитьBoxer, but I like Boxter!
Ответитьhow well would the 6 speed do?
ОтветитьMaybe you should learn how to off-road in the Subaru Crosstrek before you make content. First off Turn off VDC. Turn on x mode. Second don’t buy the smallest power plant they offer to see how it compares to vehicles with more power and in a different class. This is a CROSSOVER NOT A SUV. You compared it to a Toyota 4Runner 4x4 SUV and Ford Bronco 4x4 SUV. Need I say more? Did it ever get stuck to the point that it needed help or a tow? No. Did it make it through both sections of tests? Yes. And you wonder why Subaru doesn’t loan you vehicles. You damage the vehicles. You shit on Subaru and play it off as if you are on their side. How bought you read the manual and learn to drive it first, then put it up against all of the other vehicles in it’s crossover class with the smallest power plant option and then talk about it.
ОтветитьI just ordered a brand new Crosstrek and even I know you need to turn off the traction control for that.
ОтветитьOnly the Crosstrek model with a manual transmission gives you true 50/50 front to rear power splitting. I would NOT depend on a CVT in any fashion for off roading.
Ответить
