One thing I will say is on Nexus Mods grab the Mod Fixer mod, despite the fact some say it's not needed anymore, it is at least for some mods, so it's better to grab it.

Hey quick question hopefully, I downloaded the Mod manager, and gathered the mods I want, but after importing them I am unable to move them over to the active mod list. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

In case it hasn't been said yet: This will complicate multiplayer. If you don't all have the same mods, you have to either get the other players to install those mods or you have to uninstall the mods every time you want to play together, which isn't the end of the world but it is a process. And if you're playing on Steam Deck, may the gods be with you, the process for getting mods to work on SD is so complicated that I've easily wasted multiple nights with the game completely unplayable while I tried to figure out what went wrong (it's usually something small and stupid that you don't expect). Do not start that process without patience and a plan.

THE NEW UPDATE HAS MADE ALL MODS THAT REQUIRE SCRIPT EXTENDER INCOMPATIBLE. NORBYTE is working on the fix but timetable uncertain. Not all mods require script extender but many do. For future reference you can turn off auto update on steam and can run game from vortex or script extender when game gets updated and you need to launch it without updating.

Hi Colby! Can you optimize a thematically fun build but mechanically terrible? Fairy Rune Knight for Giant's Might + Enlarge to get Huge. Or Fairy Swarmkeeper and Pact of chain warlock. The swarm are pixies and the familiar is a sprite. This Fairy has a Knight background to get 3 retainers, all of which are pixies or sprites. Level 13 ranger gives us Conjure Woodland Beings.

Maaaan, this is definitely the next logical step because i know there's moaaaaaaar of everything to be had. i want to see the other races (genasi...) and all the other spells. it's the chaining of mods that deters me. this game has so much already.

thank you, because instructions on Nexus are shitty. I have a lot of experience from modding Skyrim manualy back in the school, but with achievements and shit I have some problems

I'm not sure if this question has been asked already but does this disable achievements? In DOS2 there was a separate file that would reenable achievements when using mods.

I am only running one mod. Still on my frist playthrough. Level cap increased to 20 but you cannot put more than 12 levels in one class.

If you pass all the checks associated with the chair in the gith creche, all illithid powers become a bonus action. you also get the choice to become a half illithid later in the game.
Personally I'd love to see a build or two that really focuses on these things

I been doing this for months. Did you know that we can go to level 20 and also install the Bladesinger subclass? Oh yes, our dreams come true. Also, there is even one for divine soul and the entire artificer class. I hope you have time to enjoy playing Colby, you work too hard!

I've been using vortex as a mod manager to mod the game even through the early access for about 3 years and have almost never had problems. The game is already very moddable and IIRC we are supposed to get Steam workshop compatibility at some point
