I love seeing this.. other than my childhood dentist, I have had nothing but horrid experiences with dentists. This dentist is obviously confident in what he does & understands compassion..

I’m 47 and in the 1980’s I used to go into my dentist surgery on my own. He used to say to me ‘I’m just going to go and speak to your mum’. Then he used to come back upstairs and stick injections all around my teeth and pull a few out. The only baby teeth that ever came out on their own were my two bottom front teeth. I’ve been left so traumatised by that. Why was my mum not in the room with me?? I have two grown up sons now, and I was always present with them for all dental appointments when they were little. No one is giving my boys any treatment without me being there to make sure they are ok 😳

Shoot, i never was even numbed as a kid. And actual kid, 6,7,8,9. So many teeth drilled into without any numbing

I was never scared of dentists as a kid and have had 7 teeth out from 6-11 years old but I gotta say that someone like him would've been ALOT nicer and more comforting

U are awesome , my daughter got a dentist that would not let me or her dad in the back with her and he really hurt her and I didn't find out till years later, the world needs more dentists and doctors like you that really care .

I was physically held down by a nurse while the dentist put the mask on my face for the gas, the mask was black rubber. He took four teeth out at once whilst I was in the chair... I had to catch the bus home with my Mum bless her. To this day and I'm 60 now the only thing that makes me shake with fear is the dentist. I take very good care of my teeth, floss brushing etc. I cannot visit the dentist. Thank God I have good teeth....😢

Fuck I am also terrified of going to the fucking dentist shit I feel her pain and it doesn’t hurt. Is just I have some really bad anxiety. I get nervous really bad and I feel like my heart is coming out of my chest every time I go to the dentist.

Was this about the neddle injection?? Those 5 seconds were horrible for me if its for a tooth on the top!!! Those inhections atecthe worst! I was shaking too when I got that needle injection in the inside of the tooth on the roof of your mouth. Omg did that hurt 😢😢😢

when my 8yr old was 6 he had some dental work done and the assistant brought him out and told us they had to use some kind of harness restraint on him and he had red spots on his face that was apparently like broken blood vessels or something like that from trying to fight it.....i think he would've done better if I was allowed to be in there with him.

I remember my first dentist appointment I was sad and didn’t like the sharp looking stuff so she told me what each one did and asked if I wanted to try it ❤

My kids were taken back alone when they were about 10 and 11. Told them if anything happens that makes you uncomfortable to yell for me and I'll handle it 😂😂

Nah fam, we don't "need more dentists like this". We NEED to normalize pain control like nitrous. Absolutely no need for shaking & anxiety when it CAN be CONTROLLED.

I have an appointment in 6 days. I should have had it done a year ago but was too anxious. Now when i go they give me the gas to calm me. I hope it works. I first chose being put out at the hospital but I'm too afraid of hospitals. Wish me luck.

I have years of dental abuse from horrific dentists im still trying to get fixed but it means trying to find a dentist like this who understands the panic. Its ridiculously hard to find.

I was a dental assistant, for about 15 year's. I absolutely loved it! Hard work but i loved to help, keep children and some adult's calm. I'd explain everything to the patients before we would proceed, so they'd know what to expect. This is sweet. ❤

I wish my kids' dentist did this, but all he did was torture my kids, that's why Dr. Ivan Velasquez is NO LONGER my kids' dentist
