I got the Lego Shell Race track when I was 12/13. Still have a pile of the parts. Can’t find the build instructions. My 6 year old has fun with it now. I really loved the Middle Ages Lego sets back then. Still have random parts of those too.

The problem is when you've been finding stuff dirt cheap for a long time, you think everything should be dirt cheap all the time. Basically if you find something for an ok price that you want/need, you should buy it then, because you can always sell it latter if you change your mind, eg, buy that $100 Odessey and sell your worse one for $50, ie, only $50 to upgrade.
