All aircraft have a fatal flaw - it's called the ability to crash, by loss of flight, power or hitting something solid at excessive velocity.

Well I can tell why it was the worst and I'm three seconds in. It looks like the Soviets built it, and I don't mean that to poke at the Soviets, but it's a recurring issue in their aircraft.. not to mention the Tu-144.

Der Filmschipsel mit Walter Ulbricht hatte einen ernsten Hintergrund. In Ludwigsfelde (DDR) wurde damals ebenfalls ein Passagierflugzeug mit einem Düsentriebwerk erbaut. Die Erprobung war erfolgreich, wurde aber zu Gunsten des russischen Modells abgebrochen. Im Übrigen nicht völlig freiwillig.

the comet had one flaw in its design the shape of the windows ,stress concentrated on the corners and caused fatige cracking , a major problem for any pressurised aircraft

love aeroflot, last time i flew with one they had the absolute nicest brand new plane's with the best service and food, plus they gave you an actual metal fork haha love it. oh and the pilot was absolute world class, no heavy touchdown or anything when landing. smooth as butter.

The British Hawker airliner was a good plane but had a issue with the square windows causing structural failures. They never recovered.

The TU-04 was the second passenger jet to enter regular service in 1956 after the British Comet in 1952, which after two fatal accidents in 1954, all models were banned from flying until the causes were found. It turned out that the designers had not prepared the structure to be used with pressure differences and the planes were real flying "bombs". And as soon as as flights were resumed, another aircraft suffered an accident in mid-air, again killing all occupants. Pioneering is a dangerous business and must be contextualized.
