I've seen Sir Elton John in concert with Mr. Billy Joel, an each one by themselves twice. Concerts today have a lot to be desired, both artists play to the crowd and to do only one encoreis sad, cause if you ask they would come back. Been there done that. Elton did 3 encores and wanted to take us with him.

I split up with my wife when this song came out. Drove from Eureka California to L.A. listening to this over and over. Now I’m 74 and it still gives me goosebumps.

My first album, my first CD. Now on MP3 in my car. Unforgettable.

This version of Love Lies Bleeding is just a little too fast for my taste but I still think it is the BEST SONG OF THE ROCK ERA!

Freddie Mercury has, rightly so, been praised as the greatest rock performer ever. But Sir Elton John is a very close second!!!! What a great performance by a great performer!

This is Sir Elton's and Bernie Taupin's Opus, without a doubt. What I find so heartwarming, and so admirable is that Elton and his band are enjoying performing this masterpiece to the fullest, as if it was their first performance some 38 years earlier. To our ears, this is true perfection!

I have the Yellow Brick Road album that this came out on. I remember sitting for hours as a teenager listening to this album and enjoying every sing moment. It was a religious experience that I will never forget and have never forgotten!

Heard "One Night Only" Sat. Nite at MSG quite a few years ago. Probably heard EJ 7 or 8 times hard too say what was the best nite.

Pop songs nowadays would never allow for this long of an intro. That's why they'll never match this masterpiece.

Had the opportunity too hear EJ probably 7 or 8 times LIVE. Great band, first class production, couldn't wait for it too begin, hated when it was over.
