Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord Review

Sooo, is the LotR IP interested in this engine/company?

I'm playing the game now and so far, I'm pretty disappointed. The controls are awful and clunky as hell. The storyline is fairly bland. The character creation was fun but it's a struggle to stay interested so far.

Giving this game a 6/10 is blasphemy.

Is this game still in beta stage or something? Seems to have alot of potential especially with different maps, weapons and gear. The combat also looks a lot better than eso for example…

I've put a ridiculous amount of time into bannerlord, this game is amazing! You better love the grind though

So is it just 1000 on the field at a time or 1000 for each side?

is it just me or the graphics doesn't look too drastically different than the first game? looks little improvement.

for me bannerlord is a quick break after work then move on to do something else, its fun to do 1-2 sieges or battle before indulging myself in something else maybe play other games or times with family.

No if you think that bannerlord is a 6/10 then Warband is a 3/10.

Bannerlord improved the battles by adding formations (Without formations the enemy AI makes a line at best which cavalry can very easily take down. You can make a square in Bannerlord making cavalry way less op)

It improved on sieges (in some aspects)

And drastically improved on kingdom management

There's a game on the 1st xbox that beats this by a country mile, tried playing the campaign yesterday, terrible tutorials and wouldn't let either me or my friend online, if you play this on game pass fine but don't buy it, not worth it

Jesus Christ is king

The battles are great but everything else is horrible. The storyline is non existent. Quests are repetitive. Trading, income, workshops, fief management are mostly random and do not make any sens.

There’s not much to it than gathering troops to bring them to battle until you’re defeated and doing it again.

NOT A STRATEGY GAME 5/10

considering what warband mods were able to achieve, im guessing there will be tons of new features in bannerlord mods aswell, and the base game is really great as a battle simulator, much better than the first mount and blade by far, great soundtrack that is not even mentioned here, really immersive game, for me as a fan of this series its a 10/10 as a whole

The problem with IGN is that its one single person who rate and review, they need 2 to 3 people playing the same game and give an review from all 2 to 3 people, because thos 6 out of 10 is just lame. Its an easy 8 out of 10!

you missed out a lot by playing it in 3rd person

This game is at least an 8. I've had since launch for Series and probably have 100 hours in.
