ОтветитьOMG. I'm totally geeking out. I LOVE this! As an actor, I have always felt that Shakespeare is often misunderstood. Adults should be reading these kids books so they can just enjoy the amazing stories!
ОтветитьThanks so much for the idea I still have a little one who would be interested in Shakespeare. Great tips.
ОтветитьSuzanne, your video has motivated me to get my kids reading Shakespeare. Loved the puppet. Haha. Happy birthday to your little one in advance!!
ОтветитьIntroducing the classics to kids is so important! Though I generally don't like watered down versions, I have found the Illustrated Classics series to be quite true to the original texts while making the content accessible. Thanks for your great content!

ОтветитьI enjoyed reading Shakespeare in high school - not really read it in-depth since but would definitely love my ten-year-old to get to know the books! Thanks for sharing this video and resources - will be going to the website to see the March activities and what we can do during Shakespeare week.
ОтветитьI have not read Shakespeare since college, although I still have the entire collection so maybe I should go back. I did just read the new fiction book Hamnet which was interesting. It's great to know there are books out there for kids! The fandecks look cool. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI think a lot of kids like to learn in patterns of association such as rhymes or songs. Also may make the subject more interesting.
ОтветитьI used to like Shakespeare growing up.
ОтветитьGreat preview of Shakespeare for kids. Good, harmless fun, and will help kids to use their imagination.

ОтветитьI love reading Shakespeare! The Twelfth Night is a favourite. My kids love his works too - there is a great British show called Horrible Histories and they have fab Shakespeare skethes. My kids learnt a lot about his works by watching that too. Thanks for another great video!
ОтветитьThis is so great! Shakespeare can feel unapproachable. I’m glad to know there are kids books to introduce them to his works.
ОтветитьReally great tips!! Thank you
ОтветитьMy 8 year old loves Shakespeare! She’s enjoyed both Edith Nesbit and Charles Lamb’s versions of the plays. Marcia Williams’s Tales from Shakespeare is comic style and a lot of fun 😊 We’ve also liked Usborne’s Where’s Will, which is like Where’s Waldo, but Shakespeare is hiding in his plays.
