You people ruined a perfectly awesome city. Grew up there and crime is outrageous. Just like you newbies. Glad you ran me out with those high prices you love but even Sodom and Gomorrah was better than st pete has become.

Why do you need Florida now?, when least we forget.. just a minute ago you were hoping to chop it off from the rest of the nation. Well Florida remembers, and Florida was doing just fine without you.

The region, Tampa Clearwater, Saint Pete, Sarasota, Bradenton. combined a wonderful place to live. One of the best places in all of the US. Pro's plenty, Cons, well everywhere has a few. Currently the biggest Con against the area is the fact your seeing a video about it. It was only but a few years ago when the region was all but off the nations radar. Meaning people didnt know much about it, and as such everything was better!!!! The towns were sleepy. only during things like Spring Break and the winter vacationers break did we see that annual influx of crowds. But i can say, since the 90's it started with just a trickle from the faucet. but then came the housing market boom and crash. and when the pandemic hit and the nation saw Floridians living it up on white sandy beaches.. well.. so the crowds came, and with the new comers also they brought along their problems their attitudes and all the issues that they found themselves running away from. Realtors looking to get rich, inflating prices, this area that despite all its luxury, really catered to the lower middle class, now was being taken over by the rich. pushing the locals out. Old money vs new. All these people that just a minute ago snubbed their noses at Florida were now doing all they can to move in. Unfortunately they've begun to ruin the place. All the things that made it special is now being drowned out. The last thing South Florida needs to be is another California or NewYork. all these people talking about it being the next tech bubble. Please!!! look how thats worked out over for them. The very reason their leaving those presumed great places. They priced themselves out of their own homes by way of pompous greed. And its these same people that look to exploit places like Sarasota Clearwater and Saint Pete. I say no.. please go right back to California . Why do you need Florida now?, when least we forget.. just a minute ago you were hoping to chop it off from the rest of the nation. Well Florida remembers, and Florida was doing just fine without you.

My brother and I used to go to Upham beach park and walk to the Don Cesar and have a snack from the bar at the beach. We then walked back and drove to Mcdonalds after the long walk then drove home. It was a lot of fun when I was young. You had a roll of quarters with you and you just put in the max time. I had a watch with an alarm on it and a timer.

I am sad that the Iconic inverted triangle is gone from the Pier. That was really a unique icon and was on the Nightly news every night as part of their intro to Tampa Bay news. It would be like getting rid of the Chrysler building in New York or the John Hancock building in Chicago.

Beautiful videography, especially all the drone shots and well edited. Just a gentle criticism—you should speak in a more conversational tone. If you listen to any professional narration, the word “thee” is never used instead of the word “the” and the “a” sound—such as “a house” or “a beach” is short not long. Also to sound more conversational use contractions—“I’m”instead of “I am” and “we’re” instead of “we are” etc. One other suggestion—if you’re not sure, check the pronunciation. For example, the Don CeSar is pronounced wrong. With these few tweaks, you would have a very professional video. The information was well organized and a great intro to St. Pete! 👍

Please, help humanity forget tourism and relocation for unnatural gain in economic position and bragging it for the feeling of "I won". Where will the sewage and sludge go! Will the rains recharge our potable water supply sufficiently for all the humans?Payne's Prarie Preserve recharge basin under Gainesville keeps the Floridan Aquifer topped off so unknowledgeable humans can wash cars wash dogs with pesticide soap on impermeable surfaces to contaminate surface and ground waters Find balance AT HOME- live, love and laugh FOR SURE, but scare yourself w/ FACTS about every aspect of the Anthropocene to be adapting to and modifying behaviors for. On the Pinellas peninsula, anywhere in "The Burg" is <\= 44ft. above sea level, but that number is DECREASING, exponentially fast). Sea level rise exacerbated by ANTHROPOGENIC ACTIVITIES MUST BE BALANCED WITH THE CONSTANTS IN OUR UNIVERSE. ....which like Earth's 23° tilt and solar angles are always changing with all the interconnectedness ya know... .
Sardine style condos and apartments in a city that aims to be carless by 2035 is quite better than big yards planted with USDA's most costly crop with least service to us and environment -St.Augustine Grass and nonnative, unproductive and sometimes invasive garbage plants.
See u-toob "crime pays but botany doesn't"; KILL YOUR LAWN!
So don't move here just for the sake of it- feel the impact of your ancestors' decisions- TOO MANY BIRTHS IS A THING- called infestation, and humans can really infest. The virtual visiting way of ecotourism produces less total waste but usually supports AND IMPARTS importance of RESPONSIBILITY and CARING about the SYSTEMS that depend on good individual parts (for us 'civil' bipedal apes 'nowadays' this means being AWARE, and more selfless) to serve the greater good.
Understand biodiversity? Have an idea of what things our species has fouled? What we've restored "as first found" (usually as some integral part of a bigger system that got or will get screwed by the tunnel vision of greedy prospecting and the findings' potential value, nevermind all the sympatric organisms' need for it-money for self writes that behavior bible). Food litter getting wildlife killed in traffic, raptors accumulating rodent bait poison.... the place I, my parent and two sons(one to soon become a conservation law enforcement officer @ FFWCC)were born in now has VERY FEW SPECIES LEFT and very few individuals in the species remaining. Yeah, our birds, *NATIVE biota(fossil record/mostly preColombASS though starting 23,000 years ago the first Americans, Natives caused extinctions of at least some megafauna BUT CARRIED AND PASSED DOWN UNDERSTANDING of responsible interactions) AND LORE. Hearing the elders beat today's ticktock, lip flop, Jerry Springer style ghetto-acceptance and 'Real Housewives' bug goal of flaunting possessions and WORKING WITH THE UNNATURAL "MACHINE". didactics) hardwood insects, reptiles, fishes, amphibians and mammals are way less than 45 years ago- Earth's population also DOUBLED IN 45yr.s (search sapiens pop. Earthday 1970- 2014). But rats, roaches, mosquitos and microorganisms are doing well. Encourage humans, THIS DAY IN AGE (Earth's age), to RESIDE IN THEIR BIRTH PLACE, you know, to fully sense, realize and HARMONIZE all their interactions w/ the rest of the interconnected Earth gifted equally to each of us- regardless of geography and socioeconomic RANK. Indigenous peoples never (would've) NEEDED costly textiles, telephones or a religion that threatens death of your soul for defying the instructions brought to them by earthlings taught to seek comfort in the security staying familiar in like-minded values and beliefs.man-made borders and real estate. Intraspecific competition, a result of fecund crowding, linguistic sensationalism (GFY ya snowflake!) eccentric disconnected individualism preached as necessity by state, church and union is, paired w/ our overfitness through affordable of tools and tech and biological drives dictating the flaunting if SHOWING overconsumption, resource hoarding commerc. . .. first bipedal apes on this continent "Turtle I Island"on impacts on the GIVE& TAKE N LAWSsource's

In your next video please also include Spa Beach on one side of the Pier and Northshore Beach with Olympic sized public swimming pool, many tennis courts and beautiful beach. Also more of Snell Island & the houses along cobbled Coffee Pot Boulevard. The late Victorian & early Edwardian 1900s to 1930s homes in the NE sector are amazing too. Prefer these to new builds!
