“That’s fair enough, which is fair enough” Linus 2023
ОтветитьWhere’s the original video then? What do I search?
ОтветитьI dont think that it was made to fool people, so it's flaws are kinda ok (in my opinion)
ОтветитьWe should all send Linus a bunch of flashlights.
ОтветитьAs an Unreal developer I can tell you, it's half fake. It's a photoscanned environment map and he embedded a recording of himself moving through it. Basically a clever trick of mixing Unreal Engine environments with GoPro footage.
There is a reason why in his "proof" video, he turned off and hid every information that would give away that this is nothing but a pre-recorded scene, and didn't show anything like the wireframe view or the actors used in the level.
While it looks amazing, it's not going to become a real game because first, it would be way too performance costly and second, the filesize of the game would go into the hundreds of gigabites. This is a cool techdemo though and got people fooled pretty good.
The switch from normal movement to walking was the absolute dead giveaway. The movement is way too gaming style.
ОтветитьI don't get why Linus is hating that much on pre-alpha footage bro thinks it'll automatically be good or something, while yes some elements make the game feel less immersive, they will be fixed within time. The developers are well aware lol, imagine if he saw the GTA 6 leaks he would freak out 🤷♂
ОтветитьYou managed to take an exciting topic and turn it into a pedantic, boring and confrontational argument. Glad I hadnt stumbled on this channel before
ОтветитьIts only one developer so don't hate
ОтветитьThe arms always looked really stiff to me. Unless he’s one of those channels that does fake reload animations, real people dont hold their guns like that.
ОтветитьLinus: the angle of the arms is wrong
Me: My arms literally look like that. WTF are you talking about?
Me: ...wait a minute. Linus, are you just saying this as the "nuh-uh, you didn't fool me!!!!"
No
ОтветитьLet's all remember, Logan Paul thought the background of Coffeezilla's videos is real.
ОтветитьIm really courious of seeing the camera movement in actual gameplay... I feel like this could cause motion sickness...
ОтветитьThe water is too clean to be real
ОтветитьLinus is the perfect person to evaluate a game engine trying to look like a camera
Ответитьi still say it's fake
ОтветитьLinus is making all the wrong points about the arms being at the wrong angle (no, they are not), the flashlight being unrealistic (it's extremely realistic) and the camera exposure in the dark room being wrong (it's actually emulating a low dynamic range bodycam). He thinks he's a video game graphics expert because he watches a lot of videogames, which is exactly the kind of false expertise that keeps him on the wrong side of the Dunning-Krueger curve.
ОтветитьNah the walk up was so fake same with the magazine check
ОтветитьAt first look I was like too go to be real then I re saw it I was like oh yeah the rag doll falls of the AI and the re load looked not like a person. If you fix that and the reloads have a random look to them I think you could do it. UI text just have it be voice only. No UI text at all and I mean its there.
ОтветитьPhotogrammetry is a very powerful tool, though it could actually get too realistic and could get legal issues, fraudulent video clips, an example of true graphics.
ОтветитьWhat's this game name?
ОтветитьFeel like games in the next 10 years will really blur the line between reality and simulation Visually, tho they need to make more than that to fool people to think is real, Physics, and most importantly SOUND is a thing where games have been lacking and not really advanced a lot
Ответитьthere is literally nothing wrong w the flashlight. this guy is nitpicking lol
Ответитьnahhh its ugly the developer showed just stop and throw this project in the garbage this game dont have the right to release.
ОтветитьCan you imagine how wild this shits gonna be in 20 years when we have VR graphics like this
Ответитьwhat the hell is the guy saying??😂😂 the flash light looks good does he even own a gun 😂😂
Ответитьwe will get to a point where we think we are playing a game but we really just killed someone. enders game
ОтветитьCould the graffiti artists sue if this is scans of their work?
ОтветитьNone of what you're saying is true it's quite impressive at that point
ОтветитьI'll believe it when I see it on my own PC lol. I don't care what anyone says
ОтветитьI vote the title for Top 10 Most stupid questions in Gaming History
ОтветитьNo a game can not look to real more games should do this
ОтветитьLate to the party but the dev has put out a Tutorial of how he does the effects and everything so you can copy the damn look. It’s crazy impressive.
ОтветитьNo actually that's exactly how a flashlight works
ОтветитьIt is not an area scan. There is a video by a Brazilian creator called Thi Lima showing the assets in public free assets libs and he made an identical demo in 1 day of work with the same camera tricks and movements in Unreal Engine 5.
ОтветитьI love watching this months later: “I, me, Linus, King of all things that compute! I am only blessed person that is allowed to lie, bow down peasants!”
ОтветитьUnreal Engine 5 is a real danger. Creating fake reality will be so easy in future.
ОтветитьWhat an asinine take on the flashlight from Linus…jeeez
Ответитьthe flashlight is attached to the gun tho
ОтветитьAs a game developer I knew right away it was real because of some identifiable Megascans assets
ОтветитьHow surprising. Linus being an expert at anything with graphics. He sees this obviously fake… stfu Linus, stfu.
Ответитьcan you even imagine what 60 and 70 series graphics are gonna do? sheesh! just wait we might actually see a rtx10090
Ответитьwhat are you on about thats not the angle arms come out of a body
ОтветитьImagine being so confidently wrong about a flashlight 😭 “dawg” 🤣🫵
ОтветитьBro YT just gave me an ad that was 33 and a half minutes long. I almost didn’t skip out of curiosity, wtf.
Ответить
