Someone told me once that stress is an unnamed emotion, so if you're feeling stress, work out what the emotion is, is it fear? Is it anger? Etc and work out and name it and it'll pass

I don't know if I'm right or not but that's how I've always seen it

The part about crying to a friend is where I struggle.

Part one and two I already do with w raising every night and telling myself that my stress is a natural thing and that it’s just stress and I’m not in any danger.

Sadly I lost all my friends during Covid either because they moved on and decided to cut everything from pre-Covid out of their lives or worse, they died during Covid.

Now a days, people don’t want to talk and you are forced to bottle up your feelings, which does not help when you have 2+ years of problems that come out when things get “tough”.

So finding someone to “cry” to is only plausible if it’s a “warm line” or to myself at the rate things are going.

I was being very nasty towards a stranger today over some very little things. I used my higher than average intelligence to corner her and then play victim and branded her as the perpetrator. I only felt bad a couple hours later. My boss being so passive aggressive towards me at the end of my shift, like that was nasty and uncalled for. And I guess I passed on this hatred towards this poor lady. And she’s gonna pass it to others as well. I can’t say I regret it, bcoz I needed that release. After I lashed out on her, I felt good. And I slept (napped) soundly. Honestly I don’t think I would be able to sleep if I didn’t release my anger. But now that I think if it, what I did was very uncalled for as well. I have mixed feelings between regret and relief. Gosh life is so complicated.

Key Takeaways

0 Physically exercise to process out the stress hormones
1 Admit it when there's stress, anxiety. //recognize the signals
2 Re-affirm your WHY (e g., do good in the world)
3 Accept pain and stress are part of the game //it's the tall trees that are struck by lightning. //Exposure to do good also exposes you to potential pain
4 Write it down - never worry inside your head //this is a great tip!
4a Identify what is in your control
4b identify what is outside your control
5 Push it to the max, take it head on: "anxiety, do your worst"
6 Release the emotional buildup - cry it out, make friends who will listen and let you be and feel understood (without necessarily fixing it for you)
7 Identify next action steps. Do it.

"In 2020, American workers across the board saw heightened rates of burnout in 2021, and according to APA’s 2021 Work and Well-being Survey of 1,501 U.S. adult workers, 79% of employees had experienced work-related stress in the month before the survey."

When we think about anxiety, we need to also think about humility. What many Americans discover, including myself at times, is that pride actually appears as worry. "Will my boss find my work acceptable, will others like me, will I say all the right things." Worry is alleviated when we think about everything we can reasonably do in a given situation. If we can think about it without being anxious and upset, we are on the right track. Another prideful trap we fall into is debasing ourselves and putting ourselves down. When we think about ourselves incessantly, in a self-deprecating fashion, we are really elevating ourselves above everyone else. We do not always have to be the center of attention.

If we fail to implement humility in our lives, then like many Americans, we will experience burnout. These principles require a lifetime of gradual improvement. If we persevere though, we can see success.

This is so good thank you. Today I felt like I was going to explode. The pressure was so high. Everything was causing me annoyance and anger. I honestly felt that I needed to go to the hospital or else I would have a breakdown. So I looked up for something to help. The last couple of nights I’ve been anxious and been triggered by my work stress. So thank you, this was helpful.

I made some mistakes at work. Im not worried about losing my job. I feel immense anxiety dealing with the fallout. What will i say to my boss, what will i say to the sales guy etc etc... It becomes unbearable. Down to 1 meal a day. Cant play with my 4year old son. Cant spend time with wife. Just working or staying depressed at home.

I recently got my first job. 3 shifts in production. I am in no way strong physically, and definitelly not mentally, so this job is just draining and exhausting on every possible aspect. Let alone that I will often have to deal with a fact that there will be days I won't be seeing my boyfriend for most of the day, and he is my only existing comfort. I'm having troubles sleeping, I cry a lot, I'm starting my first night shift in my life in a couple of hours and I'm terrified. I am exhausted, and have no idea how to deal with all of that at once
