Im on an a52 and have been using it ever since it launched, i can say im pretty satisfied with what the A series has to offer. Yes, it's not the perfect phone, but it's incredible for it's price range, plus the fact that it's still getting software updates (granted, im getting my last major update with One Ui 6, but still)

After 5 months the microphone off the samsung A54 gave a cracking noise and 3/4 off my conversation a could not hear.Had to get it repaired.

well, i got my s23 (unlocked) for 299 (normally 899). so i'm not sure if this is such a good deal.

I got mine from Walmart through Straight Talk pondered paying 300.
I walked up to the counter asking with the total would be.
What's the warranty? And I ended up getting it for a $130 over half off.
Because that day I went in they were having a clearance on that exact phone

Got the international version which has the 8gb of ram and so far has been great. Switched from iPhone and I don't miss much. For the price its really impressive. Oh and I got it under $300 during cyber Monday days . Super deal

I'm currently using the A54. I had the s23 ultra but do to unfortunately circumstances had to sell. With the money left over I bout the a54.

Coming from the ultra I can definitely tell a difference in performance but not enough to really make me complain. Overall I'm pretty happy. The only downfall I have is the battery life. I've noticed it doesn't seem to be as great and I've seen in videos and reviews from everyone.

As of this post I've been using it a week or so now, so with that I was wondering if you had any tips on how to make it better.

I got mine (128 GB 6gb RAM version) for $50 through cricket. Me and my wife got one. I love it so far, and that's coming from an iPhone 14 pro max, just to get a cheaper bill we switched from AT&T to cricket.

Unfortunately virtual proximity sensing is an instant dealbreaker for me. I had an A53 and an S20FE before, and similar to this it had virtual proximity sensing as opposed to a physical sensor.

What that means is very simple; it has no real idea when the screen is close to something, which means that it has no idea when it is in your pocket or just in a dark room, so it will turn on to taps against your thigh or misread attempts to use the fingerprint sensor, which will then wake the screen and cause shit like accidentally calling emergency services or the like.

This will NOT happen on virtually any other phone, because literally no other company chooses to cheap out like this on their phones regardless of price point. The pixel 7a, the nord CE3 lite, redmi note 12 etc. all have a physical sensor. And that is the reason I will never buy a samsung mid ranger ever again until they fix this crap.

And the best part is, I had an A70 way back in 2019, and that had a PHYSICAL proximity sensor, not this virtual crap. How much money are you possibly saving Samsung? Wtf are you doing?

Reviewing an electronic device after 2 months is ridiculous. How well a device works over a long period of time is very important. I’m writing this on a 10 year old iPad.

I have had it for a month now and it's safe to say that I absolutely love it!! I've been a pixel fan for aa very long time now and I really wanted to get a pixel phone but I'm so happy I got the Samsung. Better display, better refresh rate. I'm really happy especially since I'm coming from a Moto g play 2021 which was so annoying (I'm so glad it's gone). The camera was shit, the display was 720p, the refresh rate was even below 60 it felt like, the speed was the worst I have ever seen (took me a solid minute before the shutter button did anything) and the software was so bad. But I'm the happiest rn. Your video really made me happy because I've seen all around the internet about ytbers talking about how this was trash and I was confused because I loved it. Compared to a flagship I suppose it's not amazing, but from where I come from, it's heavn 😊

One thing I always say to people to make their phones snappier is to activate developer mode and change the animation from x1.0 to x0.5. The difference in snappiness is huge. Just try yourself, and you will see. Good video btw.

The big mistake most make is they isolate a share of market that loves ultra wide selfies ...

Samsung you would knock it out the park if you added a ultra wide selfie camera....this is a great phone but no ultra wide selfie camera 😢

Sad to say this Galaxy A54 don't have dedicated sd card slot.

I have an A34, but I am now planning to buy A54, as my dad's second phone as my dad still use the Oppo F7 as his current daily driver, which is getting old because it came out in 2018 (which is kinda funny for me because I feel like the F7 is much older than that, like 2016).

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7, 6 years old. The battery is still original and works great, the only problem is the lack of memory, but other than that it's a brilliant device for the money I paid for it. 200 pounds, ladies and gentlemen. I dedicate my opinion to all people who spend over 1,000 plus a year on new devices.

Watching phone reviews reminds me of VCRs... they were sold using options as a huge selling point. Yet less then 5% of all VCR owners could even set the clock... Thus options are meaningless in 90% of all user needs on any given day. We text we make calls we check email, bank and shop.. yes some play games.. but the truth is. you can do all of this on a cheap 100 dollar cell phone... so why do we buy 1700 dollar phones? Answer... Hype !

I replaced my a51 with the 54 and yes it's much better...great for watching videos also

That's the same with all S23 models. I've had all three and I think the normal S23 is the best phone for me. 2 days battery, 120HZ, AOD, good cameras, good looking and pretty fast, and the size and weight is just perfect, and a lot cheaper than the other two...

There's a lot of things i didnt like about the phone. What i cannot forgive is with that price it only comes with ufs 2.1, heck even sub 200usd phones have at least 2.2 ufs. Higher ufs also helps in speed. So i get it when you said it's not the fastest phone.

If you're a samsung user or wanted oneui so much or maybe you think samsung is android's safe haven against chinese brands, maybe it's really worth the price. But as a person who values every drop of coin from my wallet, ufs 2.1, no wifi 6, slow charging speed, an exynos chip that has the same benchmarking with the budget phones, and still tries to get more money from me would really raise my eyebrows.

I really appreciate your annoyance. I'm price - and brand - sensitive. Avoided Samsung for a few years. But I found it at the equivalent of your 'run-don't-walk' price. And perfectly happy with it.
