You talk about the rule of thirds but in the examples, beautiful examples by the way, the horizons are more like fifths (not thirds). I guess is the rule of thirds hocus-pocus because i rarely see the best pictures use it?

the horizontal line on my pics are little curved. It is not a straight line. How con I fix that in the settings? Also, how can I get rid of the red little squares that show up when I’m reviewing my pics! I’m learning how to use my camera ... Can someone help me with these issues
