The way the dragons breathe fire is similar to the Fiery Blowhog.

It isn't "wrong" to use "Dragon" as a general group classification, just different. I recognize that people do it naturally, calling just about anything scaley, serpentine, and monstrous using that moniker. It is a historical artifact, and people are used to doing it now.

It's all about context in communication though. Some people do distinguish "Dragon" to mean a particular species or a small subset of species, using "Draconid", "Dracoform", or "Draconiforme" to refer to the greater taxonomic groups. This is a more modern take, though, and one I prefer when it comes to arranging draconids into clades.

One of the reasons the quadrupedal bialar kinds is rarely represented in these "realistic" presentations is because we simply don't have any natural reference for six-limbed creatures outside of insects. It doesn't mean they couldn't exist, though. They just never naturally evolved on this world. However, if we're going to give a little ground to realism for some less exotic fantasy draconids, we certainly can go a little farther and come up with their six-limbed cousins. :)

Great video, only issue is the wyvern thing.

It's true dragons weren't very consistent in the medieval era... but that also includes the venom part. Are the only real d&d dragons red dragons as their tho only ones to use fire? NO! Back then they didn't care much for sorting them into groups, where we do now. So why base definitions on arbitrary inconsistencies from centuries ago instead of modern consensus?

I appreciate the goal to make dragons that could actually fly, but it feels a bit too much like they just ripped off pterosaurs. Would have liked to see some six-limbed dragons and stuff that didn't just look like a reskinned quetzelcoatlus. Still extremely well done, and big props to the author.

The mythical dragon is the symbol of fire, storm, water and destruction but also rebirth. It is the Leviathan, the monster in the lake or sea. It can also fly through the air and breathes fire through its nostrils or mouth. These effects are referring to a recurring natural disaster that appears in a cycle of seven. It threatens the Earth and all living things. The cause of this cycle of disasters is a ninth planet in our solar system orbiting the sun in an eccentric orbit. Characteristics of the natural disaster are a huge tidal wave, floods, storms, rain, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and an asteroid bombardment. All this is coming at people with great speed and is deadly to many. That is compared to deadly animals such as jaguar or piranha. A dragon or snake with sharp teeth also refers to that planet that has a long winding tail. Wings refer to the fact that the enemy of mankind is moving through the sky. To learn much more about planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the rebirth of civilizations and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". This book answers many of your questions about ancient history. It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: planet 9 roest

Dragons are defined by their lack of a concrete definition. You cant know what a dragon really is because they never existed and everything around them is made up. Overly Sarcastic Productions also has a really good video on what a dragon is or can be.

I'm hoping one day you revisit this artist. in the year since you've uploaded this video the artist has created more content that I feel could be worth exploring-including expanding on members of the dragon groups, having a project explaining the prehistory of the dragons, and, as of now, incorporating even more creatures of myth into their speculative alter Earth (examples include mermaids, unicorns and trolls)

My ideas for how fire breath would work are
1: Being able to separate hydrogen from the air they breath then storing it in a special air tight sack were they can spit it out where it ignites with the air.
2: They might search for liquid/gaseous fossil fuels were they store it and spit it out and ignite it when they want to use it.
3: They could make alcohol and use it as a biological molotov cocktail

Groovylicious, Production! Loved it!❤
Buuuuut;
Dragonologists would love what I've discovered;
I've always maintained that dragons never really existed...despite my obvious love for them. Dragons are NOT Dinosaurs at all. Nor are they Alien creatures. They are NOT terribly large (Except in those "Big Fish" stories known as "Modern Fairytales"!), But, They really Could have been very real beings! Dragons often talk in classical literature. That denotes Sentiency and Sapience! Dragon magic easily translates to Technology more advanced than that of Humans. Dragon Wisdom is easily scientific knowledge and just plain good old fashioned Experience with a given subject. (As Dragons would be an earlier people than are humans) However, My recent, and seriously exhaustive research into making my newest OC Personal Dragon character "Zardoz" (Named after an old 1970's Sean Connery Flick) seem like something derived from reality, I derived a form and fully Scientifically believable (No Crazy Mutations, Extra limbs, Gas Bladders, or Magic ~There's no such thing as Magic anyways~ Not even In proper Fairytales is there genuine "Magic"! Just Magical seeming events , spiritual being activities, artistic illusions and weird newfangled gadgetry! Nothing Actually Supernatural!), But, something that easily, and, utterly sensibly, explains how medieval dragons could have been very real and not al all aggressive or in any fashion "Evil"! This is even generating a cool new story that I hadn't initially intended for the character! I've posted some of my "Field Note" doodles in my Deviantart "Xhyxhahruxh" Gallery. I don't know if Dragons ever actually existed, but, fossils of them would be exceedingly rare and, likely mistaken for those of Mammals or Monitor Lizards (The latter being exactly what they Are!) But, My Ideas add to the growing conjectures (Even in Mainstream science!) leaning towards the reality of actual dragons!.

When you think of a dragon you think many. But infact there was only one ever on earth. I know the true story. Here's his true name. Youngest son of the Alien queen Eden Ionmhain the beloved eagle grandmother to Ra. Had 3 sons. First was Atom, second was Atlantis, third was none other then Jupiter the dragon. Aka hades aka lucifer. You don't think so. That's your problem. But it is the truth. Queen Eden has Jupiter with a human named Kronos. True facts.
