We take it for granted asteroids have crashed to earth before because we have knowledge about them. In those times it may had seemed the hand of god played a part to wipe their sins away, because they had no knowledge of where it came from but the heavens, as mentioned by prophets & in the New testament. but one that left no signs of a crater defied all explanations until that one that flattened the Siberian wilderness 2,000km wide, that left tree flattened pointing away from the blast area. The Bible did explain it rained fire and brimstone from the heavens, they actually described it perfectly, that lays claim the asteroid in fact disintegrated before impact. this explanation seems to fit with what was uncovered on or in the ground. The site being the largest remnant of a forgotten city in the area, can only point to the scene of crime where many met their tragic end. I gotta say it got me convinced. Gotta acknowledge Dr. Collins who followed his hunch through and found what he was looking for, they wanted a city he found it. I've no doubt I've witnessed a great find to an age old mystery. There is for me some problems with what is in the bible.
For a start, does nobody else think it rather strange that people were told to offer up animals that were burnt, this is effectively killing things for God?
I was bought up in a family with a father who had a temper and a more than heavy hand that picked up what ever was handy, i never understood how anyone can demand love by being heavy handed to exstremes, and have the same problem with trying to understand the bible for the same reason.
I have done wrong thing like i think most have at times in my life but so far i really cannot say that being sorry, really sorry has ever given me the feeling of being forgiven, and i still dont understand the idea of forgiving ones self either, if my maker cannot forgive me then its taking a bit on one self to forgive yourself, Jesus i understand a bit more but cannot work out about God, he seems to anger very quickly,
