Is there a solution to repair scratches on black powder coated aluminum? I have black aluminum brick mould windows and there are scratches on the brick mould. I am trying to figure out if there is someway I can diminish the look of these scratches without to having to paint them. These windows are 6 months new and the scratches happened during the construction stage.

i like this method as it avoids toxic substances, especially if what you're polishing is a kitchen utensil coming in contact with food.

I hear wd-40 and scotch brite will do the same on aluminum, a nickel brush finish.

Hey bud, do you know if the aluminum used on stereo components is a different type? Possibly with some sort of coating, maybe anodized?, etc? I specifically talking about the silver aluminum faceplates on stereo components from the late 70s to early 80s. Thanks

Videotape is good for removing small scratches and corrugated cardboard with polish for putting a smooth polished finish on Brass.

I've used auto polishing compound on steel and brass before with good results. It looks pretty much about the same as your toothpaste. Ounce-for-ounce it's cheaper than whitening toothpaste, but more expensive than ordinary toothpaste.
