Hiking The HIDDEN Lake In Fairfax | Royal Lake Park Trail | Best Short Hikes In The DMV

On today's adventure, we take the 1.8 mile Lake Royal Park Trail, a looping trail that spans the edges of a lake that is pretty hidden near Old Town Fairfax. I only knew about this lake because I work in the neighborhoods around it sometimes.

The trail is just a step above a sidewalk, a few staircases, some slippery stairs, but a very easy one. I saw a lot of great nature on my hike as well, deer, groundhogs or muskrats swimming and a huge Egret.

Always looking for the best hikes in northern virginia & beyond, both challenging ones, as well as these short nature walks.
