The single telling television clip is that of President Bush being informed of the attack while visiting some school children. He never flinched or moved.I dont know about you folks, but if a war is starting shouldn't the President be whisked away to a command post? My second thought is,is this why drump isn't in jail?

“In the eyes of posterity, it will inevitably seem that in safeguarding our freedom, we destroyed it.
The vast clandestine apparatus we built up to prove our enemy’s resources and intentions only served in the end to confuse our own purposes.  That practice of deceiving others for the good of the state led infallibly to our deceiving ourselves, and that vast army of clandestine personnel built up to execute these purposes were soon caught up in the web of their own sick fantasies with disastrous consequences for them and us.”  —— Malcolm Muggeridge

I never though George Jr. wasn't much more than an arrogant prick. I once had a girlfriend who worked for George Sr. I was invited to a picnic where both Georges were there. Anyway, a softball game was started up and George Jr. and I are playing on the infield together. Junior looks over and asked me if I could handle the position. I'd actually played a year of pro baseball in my teens. I just answered that I could, end of story, right. He didn't know shit about me but decided to talk down to me.

Instead of concentrating on the foreign radical they are content to violate American's rights, why? Because it's easier to dig into our citizens. We have seen a steady erosion of our liberties which was execrated after 9-11. But I have to ask, has any American citizens been involved in terrorism on America's soil for a foreign power? Intelligent idiot agencies screwed the pooch and needed to cover their ass. So what better way than put the boot on the neck of the American neck. Everyone thinks

Gonzalez had broken the law , the 4th Amendment, he signed a FISA court document meant for a court judge not a individual bureaucratic attorney, and not authorizing massive collective oriented police action over everyone, instead of individuals under probable cause.

So there you have it, this right here is why it’s impossible to form an armed malitia. This wasnt to protect citizens from a threat, if that was in their interests 9/11 wouldnt happen, that being said, this project was designed to protect the government from it’s citizens when they realize theyre in control of our lives

I have to say, even with the USA's trove of terrible secrets, the fact that they are really concered about public backlash speaks volumes. If this was say, in the Middle East, they wont even try to hide the program.

911 was the excuse that authoritarians used to justify undermining the Constitution and imposing mass surveillance upon a fearful and gullible public. Today, we are not only surveilled but censored. We have lost our constitutional rights of privacy and of speech. The regime of fear continues and deepens. This is how a free society dies.

The blame for this is on the left and the right equally ...there are no good options among the political elites. They are all equally bad / equally corrupt. Still collecting all that data, and fling the border wide open. The behavior is extremely suspicious.

All bureaucrats have become as Richard Nixon with his enemies list. NSA had phone numbers of contacts to bin Ladin and the one or two Saudi and Egyptian 911 hijackers in California but did not investigate before they started collecting dragnets of massive metadata of everyone.. They could not process manageable amounts of data, they sure couldn’t handle these illegal massive bulk data dragnet and sort, except after the fact, to prosecute subjective arbitrary law or ex-post facto law amplified by anti-trust law or insider securities law. They are violating the U.S. Constitution.
‘Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely’ but directing it, the law is there to protect individual rights, to enable one to thrive.

So the government worries we'll make a copy of our movies and music thereby stealing from the source its sales proceeds and not paying tax revenues.

Yet, it has not only allowed all my information to be taken from me and money made from it but not to me. Hmmm

Maybe instead of letting "The Program" retain its place without a fight just because people like me were several years behind the leakers in comprehending what this means... the leakers, if there's anything left of any if them should contact their favorite news journalist and ask therm to periodically do follow up stories on this. People are not happy how the Internet has been used to steal our privacy and basically clone us through our activity, contacts, social networks, software + hardware, communications, etc. Everyone profits. Citizens are the only ones without rights to their own information. And the government has been front and center gathering it all. No wonder there are no protective laws.

I'd be mighty upset if the FBI raided my home, seized my electronics, left everything a mess and then dismissed their case against me or made it a slap on the hand. Of course, I'd be relieved too that they didn't lock me in a dungeon until my premature death.
