Thank you as I have wanted to plant these trees. The issue of water is you are overwatering !!. Once established you don't need to water at all. Mother nature is just fine for these trees, most trees do not need any extra water after the first full year. Thanks again

Are your Green Giants Full Natty Brah?
Do you use any Chicken manure pellets or fertilizer?
It would help if you want that 5 feet in one year.
I planted 10 green Giants last spring at 10 feet tall.
In the fall they measured 12 feet tall.
This was after being transplanted!!!
I did not experience any "sleep"
They grew 2 feet the first year after being transplanted!!!!!
I saw no transplant shock whatsoever!

What will they do this year?
I expect more than 2 feet, and with a bit more juice (chicken manure pellets) who knows?
Mine are planted 4 feet apart.

I wonder what the mature height of our green giants will be?
Will they max out at 25-30 feet?
Will they want more space and strangle each other out in 10-15 years?🤔

Thank you so much for sharing your detailed findings in the growth of your green giant babies!! You must be a math whiz, my most favorite subject!! I happen to have recently planted a dozen of 3’ or so green giants. The deers have already chewed on some of my trees 🌲🌲🌲!! I hurried and added some wire cage of 4’ x 4 1/2’ diameter over them!! I wonder how long will I have to leave them on?

I kinda like the look of your deer fence better than my wire cage. But, it’s already done and I hope that will save them while they’re growing up!! 🙄🙏🙏
