Your video was very helpful. I have power at the switch and tried to connect to a ceiling fan using 12-3 wire. When I flip one switch, I get power on both red and black wires (opposite side of hot wires). Any help?

I had a situation with MC where I wanted a clean installation with a straight run to the switches. In the middle a junction box and a leg with two lights. I had 3 conductor with a green for ground. At the junction I used the white wire to carry the load to the double switch and the black and red wire to carry it back to the lights. I wrapped the white wire with black tape to signify danger. Lights work great and I conserved wire. Did I violate any codes?

My bathroom has this for the light and vent fan, but the fan will not come on unless the light is on. Why? Is it wired wrong?

I have a light switch just like that. 1 switch controls a light inside and the other was a spotlight outside. I just installed a ring spotlight cam. I need to remove 1 switch from accidentally being hit. I was thinking of just electrical tape or bar over it with a screw. Can I just tie the 2 wires together instead of on switch and wire cap it? Thanks for any help

I HOPE YOU LEARNED HOW TO USE YOUR TOOLS BY NOW AND WHAT THE PROPER WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE WIRES BEING USED, LIKE A SWITCH-LEG AND LINESIDE, YOUR WIRE STRIPPERS HAVE 2 HOLES ON THEM FOR A REASON THAT EVERY ELECTRICIAN KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE FOR, TO BEND THE WIRES PERFECTLY THAT GO ON YOUR DEVICES, USING A NEEDLENOSE IS A HANDYMAN MOVE. YOU DON'T NEED TO WRAP ELECTRICAL TAPE AROUND THE DEVICE IF YOU'RE USING A PLASTIC BOX, IF YOU'RE USING A METAL BOX, YES ITS A GOOD IDEA.
