I also chatted with ggrip a bunch (I assume that's who you're referring to) at the paris major and he was a super cool guy, very knowledgable on the insides of the CS scene. I was planning on buying one to support him and his company but 600€ for a mouse is way too much for me as a student lol.

They are overpriced but not as much as you might think.

It could be that they had to make about 5 new injection molding pieces for the 3D effekt per mouse.

That would be around 50k€ for injection molding Tools made in China

70k if made in Italy or similar.

1500mice means that to get the Tool costs back they need to charge at least 35-50€ more per mouse.
Molds cost a few cents per piece.

Than you have the design that is probably UV-Printed. That's about 2€ per piece so make that another 10€.

So let's say 45-85€ per mouse extra cost.

Add your margin and you want to earn and pay the designers and artists and other employee costs and you would need to sell them at around 200€ more to make profit.

So 400€ would be a realistic price for this nieche Produkt.

But you have to add licensing fees and other running costs.
