I would like to upgrade my desktop PC to Windows 11 from the current Windows 10. However, I realized that during the Windows 11 setup, it said that my PC doesn't meet the requirements because TPM 2.0 wasn't found. I then went to start>run and TPM couldn't be found. I went into my BIOs, and I couldn't find TPM that you explained in your video under Advanced. I looked everywhere for it. My desktop PC is a custom build gaming PC. Here is what I have:

AM4 Socket - Motherboard: MSI B350 Tomahawk (MS-7A34) version 1.0
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor 4.25Ghz
GPU: NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
Ram: 16GB DDR4

Honestly, I hope that I don't have to buy a new motherboard just to upgrade Windows. If so, I will probably pass on this until I have to. Will method 1 work for me if I buy that chip that I have to install on my motherboard?

Also, is it free to upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10?

Hey, when I put my thing to TPM firmware, save it and then reset it goes back to TPM discreet. I don't know how to fix that and I've been looking up how to fix it and I just can't get one answer.

Is there any real reason this is needed for W11 or is it just a behind the scenes security thing

This was really helpful in helping me understand what a TPM was and why Windows wants to require it for Windows 11, as Mac has always been ahead of them on device security, but sadly even though my PC was built in early 2021, it does not have a TPM enabled nor even installed. At least my laptop has Windows 11 now, so I'm not completely upset about it.
