Okay, I bought a sl1200 MK2 and I was gift a luxman r-117 which I've heard is an amazing receivers, both are about $1000 so I was thinking I should spend about 1000$ on speakers, I want vintage but I'm okay with anything at this point because I bought my vivids for $50 it's my biggest bottle neck.

I am a Cambridge Audio fan. Great British laid back sound that handles all music styles very well and they are all well priced.

Quick question. Those Jamo S809… could those be used for rear channels as well? I have a chance to buy the towers at $40 a piece and there’s 4 to buy for a total of $160. Could I use all 4 in a 5.1 surround ? I already got the matching center channel for $40 and the 10” sub for $40. Just wondering if the 4 towers could be used. Thanks in advance 😊

A very very long time ago...about 3 decades that is to be more accurate, Jamo was producing amazing sounding speakers with a very down to earth price and was considered one of the most popular brands among hifi aficionados...so why not buy a pair again at a ridiculously low price???

Hey man could you do a midtier review. I’ve tried Bose pa for 699 x3. But the app and connections weren’t reliable. Then I returned 2 of them. Got the L1 16 pro but my neighbor or someone kept interfering with my Bluetooth connection. When it worked it was okay but it was over kill for my house. I have a 2-3k budget for a
System. Ideally Bluetooth but at this point I need it to work consistently

Hey everyone, I own the Diamond Wharfedale 10.7 - tower speakers, 3-way, 30-200W. Drive-units: 1" (25mm) soft-dome tweeter, 2" (50mm) dome midrange unit, two 6.5" (165mm) woofers.
I dont have an amp - I am looking at the CXA81 but I see many people recommending the AXR-100 which seems to be on pair in terms of features (and actually stronger?) I also see Audiolab 6000a proposed a lot but the 2x50W scares me as 'not enough' to drive them. My other options are Nad C368 and/or C700. Please help me. I can't try these amps locally, stores don't really do this here where I live.

Not hating on the cheaper speakers, but why would you direct someone to spend over 3 times more on their amp than speakers? That money would be better served buying nicer speakers. At least from a sq perspective

Here is my budget system: Klipsch powered reference 5.25” and a klipsch 10” sub. Very versatile for a second space. Plug is an optical cable and it’s a decent 2.1 home theater. Yet small enough to be computer speakers too.

This is OUTSTANDING! I’ve been taking all of these components and mixing them up to fit what we need in our library. We’ve discovered the Audio Technica AT-LP120XBT-USB which we can use to enjoy vinyl whilst the children sleep (using Bluetooth connected to headphones or AirPods). We’re going Jamo towers and sub with the Andover Songbird and a Douk ST-01 amp. Just over $1k, but your guidelines helped us keep it reigned in. 😂 Y’all are awesome!!!!!
