How to reload the Current Page (and reset cache) in Javascript

In this tutorial I will explain how to perform a soft and hard reload, where a soft reload is simply reloading a page as a user would, whereas a hard reload is reloading the page and simultaneously clearing the device's local cache of the site.

This can be useful for updating webapps or PWAs which are still stuck on old versions because of the user's local cached version not being updated.
