Great set up. What brand wires do you use for audio? Patch, snake, etc.
ОтветитьSeems like a really nice guy
Ответитьola tio puedo ser su amigo?
ОтветитьIt's fantastic...!!!
Ответитьkinda ironic... today in 2023, a studio built for country music has more tech than Kraftwerk would have had in their studio in the early 80s
ОтветитьGreat setup and the results sound great but how does he bring himself to listen to that music all day haha I couldn't.
ОтветитьThank you for showing me what a pile my studio is.
Ответитьholy shit!!!!!
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful studio!
ОтветитьHow for an hour?
Ответитьwow
ОтветитьSimply inspirational! Great interview!
ОтветитьAwesome studio love your videos
Ответитьneeds more monitors
ОтветитьKudos on staying with your dreams, bro... FAITH 🎶👆💥
ОтветитьIt makes sense why his work warrants award winning caliber. He doesn't use too much gear and only uses those that he trusted for years. I think he's got more of a streamlined use of onboard gear and knows all the nuisance on them.
Ответитьthis is one of my favorites
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what Sony headphone technology Matt's excited about for listening to Atmos/spatial audio?
Ответитьmulti channel country music is a super funny concept :)
ОтветитьGood video. The only thing I am disappointed about, is there was no mention of the Yamaha Rev 7 he has in his rack, right next to him. I have one of those too and wondered what he uses it for. As it's on hand he must use it a lot.
Ответитьbro how? how do you even get the money for this... this is insane!
ОтветитьDAM, here I go down another wormhole of information for the next 3 years ! I am an armchair everything because of the internet. I can sail, don't own a sailboat, I know everything about RV's from van's to 3 million dollar units, don't own one ..but armchair it all.
The reason I'm here is I just typed in "home sound studio" and poof, here I am. I always wanted to set up my den for music only. I bought a complete PA system, picked up a nice mixer, about 7 mics because I wanted to mic my drums just to get that high-end thump.
I am now in the process of figuring out how to set up my new amp I just bought. I picked up a DENON AV amp, some nice 7.2 speaker set-ups, but I'm having trouble trying to get the computer to pump out true 7.1 to the amp, it's harder than you think ....plus the fact I'm 63.
One thing I did notice was my amp has ATMOS, which I did not know what it means, but now I do. I have to download special software to my computer just to make it work, I'm in the process tonight, actually.
I haven't purchased a new amp since 2006, I did not even realize that with a new AV amp, I get onscreen menu's so it's so easy to interact with the settings, but there's so much to learn, the e-manual is 269 pages.
Well, that's enough typing. I just want to say that I have now subbed the channel and I'm about to go down the wormhole of home studio ideas, wish me luck.
PS: If anybody that has a sound engineering degree and lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I'll supply all the seafood chowder and beer if you show me some pointers on how to make my amp sound it's best. I own an Acura TL with DTS sound system built in, so that is what got me into DTS recording. I've been trying to make CD's for the car so I can hear pure DTS in the car, again, hard to find a book on that I'll tell ya.
good god that was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI loved this video but had to stop watching it because for some reason a guitar started playing at a low volume around the 17 - 18 minute mark and even though it was at a really low volume it was really distracting and irritating. I couldn't focus on what the was being said. I actually thought that I had another window open with another video open with music on it so I checked and that wasn't the case.
ОтветитьWhat's terrible is why have a studio nowadays?? No one buys CDs anymore (Unfortunately) So basically all your doing is spending a fortune on a song to literally give to the billionaire who own's spotify more of our music so he can rip us musicians off - he makes all the money for all our studio efforts! Ridiculous times!
ОтветитьA very gracious fellow ..... thanks Matt 😊
Ответитьits temple for me, would go inside this studio barefoot.. what a space. I wish i can build one. Right now my studio is 6 by 5 by 6 container. Awesome video.
ОтветитьEpic!
ОтветитьI don't see a lot of videos talking about power conditioners for home studios. How is it connected to your setup?
Some people say it's a glorified power hub or AVR where literally everything is plugged into it and everything turns on at the flick of a switch. I need to know more.
Dude gets a thumbs down for the atmos setup 👎
It needs to be rejected, not adopted
I got him beat with 40 inputs
ОтветитьWhat kind of mics do you use for your guests while they speak? Love the video!
ОтветитьI think he needs a few more speakers
ОтветитьCool dude, who know his rig!!!
ОтветитьThis is definitely the best studio tour I have seen, super crazy set-up. Matt explained this setup so well too. Thanks Andrew
ОтветитьMy dream is to one day own 1 of his many speakers lol One can only dream.... Amazing video as usual Andrew!
ОтветитьYou should get some more monitors…
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm curious - when Matt described using this Shadow Hills compressor and Great River EQ for his 2bus...he then showed his API2500 and said "that's most always on the band...." What do you think he meant by that referral?
ОтветитьI mean... can i hit Powerball already?? Lol
Dude is so damn enthused about his equipment, I would listen to him like a first grader at storytime, Just loving EVERYTHING about this.
What a great guy, great philosophy, great energy, and super cool studio. A+++++
ОтветитьGreat tour. Great back story on how he got to where he is now.
ОтветитьGood God! I am jealous, and impressed.
ОтветитьWOW...
This dood is the "Real Deal" ...
I want his life ..lol..
He has my dream studio and beyond...
Super Awesome next level kinda studio..
May he have Immence success in it..
Great Vid Andrew.. For real, thankx for this one..
\m/ Respect \m/
I have been inspired to clean my studio tonight just from watching this thank you.
ОтветитьHow many monitors do you need haha
ОтветитьCrazy to see that for all music genre there are one CL1B MKII ...
ОтветитьAs a drummer and piano player for over 30 years. One thing I've learned to appreciate about playing live and recording. A really talented front of house and studio engineer make talented musicians their best no question ! They are the secret hero's in live music.
