I love to think that the video symbolizes the love/hate relationship between us, humans. We all have beliefs, religions, cultures, loved ones and such that drive us. The two pilots each have different motivations, but in the end, they are both have very human aspects. That is why they never manage to kill each other, they fight relentlessly, damage each other, even destroy the very things they care about in the process, but they will never manage to kill each other because they are one of the same in the end, it is as if they'd be trying to kill themselves... You can see it in the end how they crash into each other out of desperation and still cannot manage to kill one another. "We'll keep falling in love"

This video has a very profound but sad message: hatred outlives the individual.

The beautiful thing about the concept of the video is that although these two people that are fighting for different things against each other, they come to a sort of mutual understanding that neither of them are making it out, and although they are still enemies in the end, they came to understand each other.
