Imo Goldeneye opening credits overshadowed all the Bond intros done before and after, a special Bond opening for a special return after hiatus
Ответитьit's criminal that this list didn't even mention the mission impossible title sequences. those are some of the most attention-grabbing, intense title sequences ever and have a character of their own in each film!
ОтветитьWHERE'S SNATCH
ОтветитьExodus in the Saul Bass segment is on here, too. It was a movie in which my father was an extra.
ОтветитьThe Andromeda Strain (1971) | OPENING TITLES (HD)
ОтветитьSoylent Green Opening Titles
ОтветитьThe girl with the dragoon tattoo
ОтветитьThe Tobey McGuire Spiderman Trilogy had the best title sequences.
ОтветитьRocky Horror Picture Show's title sequence. Nothing more to say
ОтветитьNo Seven or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which are both superior to Fight Club. And no Wtahcmen? This list fails.
ОтветитьTop Gun needs to be on here
ОтветитьI LOVE the title sequence of Lost Highway. That super stressful fast car POV with industrial Bowie playing in the background. I could watch it all day.
ОтветитьYou should check out The Women (1939) in which all the female's are introduced by their animal counterparts!
ОтветитьVertigo or Halloween is No. 1
ОтветитьReally good list but there should realy be a title card Sequences from one of Sergio Leone films here.
ОтветитьSeven is my best....it's even sickens me
ОтветитьHow do we ever find out who did a title sequence? This credit is missing missing missing ..
ОтветитьThat strobe scooping title was an epileptic nightmare... Jesus I'm not epileptic and I hated it
ОтветитьThere should be an Oscar for titles.
ОтветитьGodzilla
ОтветитьWhat no Star Wars. That opening scroll is iconic
ОтветитьI think The Matrix deserved a mention
ОтветитьSorry but you guys copped out with your number one.
It’s funny that I was watching Fight Cub and then I see this video the following day.
Monsters Inc.
ОтветитьCatch me if you can is a weird choice, Homage at best, pastiche at worst…
ОтветитьBravo for your number one pick , it made me smile.
ОтветитьI use the "Touch of Evil" sequence in my literature classes to illustrate the "details" element of the DIDLS literary analysis acronym. Every single detail is carefully chosen to build the tension in the sequence. I love to isolate the moment where the focus shifts from the car to the two pedestrians; then we track our focus as it shifts back and forth and back again.
When I tell the kids that this is just to set up the TITLE cards?
Well... they're teenagers. They don't care. But I still think it's impressive.
#10 is unwatchable.
ОтветитьBasic Instinct's opening is brilliant with the flickering orange and mysterious music by Jerry Goldsmith . Simplicity !
ОтветитьHow can you leave out Out of Africa ?
ОтветитьI can’t believe you left out Cowboy Bebop. (The show’s opening sequence is also great.)
ОтветитьI sat through the whole essay to see if the title that impressed me at an early age would make the list--and it did, although barely: "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"! It handed me puns I wouldn't even get for the first hour! Delightful visuals!
Ответитьstar wars the best of all
ОтветитьSATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. How was it not mentioned AT ALL..???? Are you crazy?!
ОтветитьHalloween no question ask
ОтветитьVERTIGO!!! THE BEST opening title!!! (The music score by Bernard Hermann adding an additional genuinely beautiful/mysterious dimension to the Title sequence.)
ОтветитьThanks for picking Saul Bass's "body of work", it is not fair to have to pick one example of work as the best.
ОтветитьGoldfinger is great
Ответить"You can f*ck right off!" 😁🤣😂 I had forgotten that part.
ОтветитьOmg, you can F right off! Hilarious!
Ответить"Monty Python-Holy Grail"....a llama bit my sister....'nuff said.
ОтветитьBest #1 pick EVER. Thank you again
ОтветитьOne of the best yet
ОтветитьSaul Bass – legend. So many movies & TV shows are now rebirthing what he did in their title sequences...
ОтветитьPsycho/Where Eagles Dare/The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Ответитьgreat video, love it and learnt a lot. Just hit subscribe . lots of love maxwell
ОтветитьMy favourite title sequences are Vertigo, A Shot In The Dark, Rosemary's Baby, Goldfinger and The Watchmen. I am surprised you didn't mention Rosemary's Baby - the idea of a subtly sickening lullaby while we watch entranced as one of the first-ever arial shots glides over gleaming New York City to end pointing directly at the front entrance of the Dakota.
It sets you up perfectly for a film about constricting fear.
Star Wars.
ОтветитьI like Red Dragon.
ОтветитьI'd have picked 2001: A Space Odyssey for best title sequence ever.
