Hi tom i believe that thay are in the old eninge testin part in the training center
ОтветитьJust get a drone over there
ОтветитьDamn they just ripped off the vauxhall signum lol
ОтветитьNeed to find the trades people who have worked there. Electricians, plumbers gas engineers. People have been in those back rooms to do checks. Surely they weren’t made to sign a ndr
ОтветитьSAIC want to know your location 🔫
ОтветитьShould contact local MP to lobby MG to release the cars heritage of UK MG Rover, to be trucked to a museum to be looked after.
ОтветитьThe photos you have posted are ones I put up on Facebook. A friend sent me the screenshots from his friends video as he knows I like mg rover and thought I'd be interested. It wasn't a urban explorer video he was just on site doing some work and took the video. That's why you can not find that video online lol.
ОтветитьExcellent video. Big fan. :)
ОтветитьOne of those prototypes looks like a Vauxhall Signum, but with Mk2 Vectra headlights.
ОтветитьHi tom have you got an email adress as i have some updated pictures of them
ОтветитьI think the outside pictures of them parked is more than likely from near the design studio, rather than the roundhouse. There are spaces in front of the cars (with an MG6), which doesn't match the single spaces outside of the roundhouse.
The MG dealership had now moved off site, so I doubt that's having an impact on what buildings stay now.
When I was around the for POL this year, the front carpark had all sorts of stuff in it including the LWB 75 and a new MG prototype. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the among the cars.
I have seen these cars again I live in Longbridge you can see them from cofton park
ОтветитьSIAC make me sick, their cars are shit , we have an MG3 as well as several REAL MGs the 3 is absolutely no match for the ZR or Maestro EFi.. Those cars definitely need saving. First thing SIAC dealers tell you is they are nothing to do with MG rover so i cant imagine they will care much about them
ОтветитьWhy don't you use a drone to see if there still there?
ОтветитьTom you are a legend
You should be a detective 🕵️♂️
Love from Ireland
The last time I was in the conference centre they were all in there. They weren’t kept inside the museum but at the back behind the stage. That was October 2018 when MG UK used the conference centre as a sales building with two cars in the reception as the round house had been closed previously. They moved them out of here when it was thought they were being scrapped so may of just been pushed back in?
ОтветитьThe SD1 will have been easy to sell or remove from site, not going to get noticed , if it's not on site some one has that somewhere.
ОтветитьOn Google earth pro that area by roundhouse is not that overgrown untill 2019 at least , in 2017 was still in daily use as car park.
ОтветитьThe current G maps imagery is from 3/2022 , same on google earth
ОтветитьThe green metallic car is clearly a slightly restyled Astra........
ОтветитьIf was near i would send my drone up above! too far for me to travel.
ОтветитьHopefully MG Motors UK are planning a museum 🤞
ОтветитьFrom looking at the construction on the fence panels it looks like the cars were on the other side of the fence from the round house, as the pictures have the horizontal panel supports showing with the cars in front.
ОтветитьHi from Czech Republic😀. I wish you to find the cars. By the way, on Saturday 16.9.23 we have a meeting of Rovers and MGs from the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the city of Rajhrad. Rover forever✌
ОтветитьReally enjoyed the video and the detective work can't wait for the next update. Reading some of the comments i would get up there quick in case something happens. It would be good to get a museum involved to help campaign to get the cars for display as people would want to see them
ОтветитьIts sad to see the end of this . Your only car company is the flagship of any country and should of been saved . I think tony blair could of done a lot more to save it .
ОтветитьThis might be a daft question but do you know what urban explorer originally posted the video of the cars
ОтветитьTime to go there with a drone
ОтветитьKeep up the good work 🙌🏻
ОтветитьI dont understand why all the secrecy by MG they do need to be donated to Gaydon or something its Rovers history
ОтветитьWhere did you get the photos so we can also do research to help?
ОтветитьInteresting video... Hopefully these cars are safe.
By the way, it's Pye (pronounced 'pie'), not P.Y.E.
If we get detailed interior pics of that rdx60 at some point...
ОтветитьSome good detective work there, I can't really fault your logic. I too very much doubt the cars have been scrapped. Hopefully they'll see the light of day eventually and end up in Gaydon where we can all appreciate them 🤞
ОтветитьI can confirm 100% that during POL in April 2019 I took a photo of the TCV in the area behind the MG auditorium, along with all 3 mgf prototypes, the SD1 and the RDX60, which I sat in, and we opened up confirming it's a modified blue mg zt saloon underneath. I've sent you the photo tom
ОтветитьThe pictures you have show trees directly behind the fence in front of the cars, the fence in the picture has parking spaces on either side of the fence
ОтветитьSuch a shame we couldn’t make these, instead we have the influx of boring euro/korean tat
ОтветитьA friend of mine just told me they are all outside 2 weeks ago, you could see them lined up against the fence next to what was the sales centre
ОтветитьThankfully my car isn't still in the elephant house roting away with these. What a shame
ОтветитьThe most recent photos look like they are parked next to the roundhouse fence.
Put a drone up if it’s in a fly zone
It's PYE as in PIE
ОтветитьAsk stoksie to find them .
Any update on how the maestro is coming along?.
As a former Dutch Austin Rover salesman I always have mixed feelings when I see vids like this . British always seem to like their inheritance when they have lost it . Go rent a trailer , drive to the shed and pick up these gems .
Btw : maybe if you know a solar panels company ask them if they have a program to look at roofs and buildings , maybe you can have more sharpened and accurate views
Tom if they are there they need to be moved to the british motor museum at the very least.
Ответитьi think we need the doxxers for the job.
Ответитьwhere does MG designers have their works, if its on the Longbridge site, might these mock ups be used as a base idea for new MG's? it might be worth looking at the current MG line up and seeing if there are any styling clues to any of these prototypes.
ОтветитьI like but i dont like how the Elephant House is called the Round House in his videos
However, looking at the photos it looks like its the fence which the Elephant House is at.
Failing that, go do an urban explore yourself, or i will haha
ОтветитьNice detective work Tom to be honest I don't get why they hoarding them I think they may as well donate them to museums if they are going to scrap them
Ответитьsherlock tom on the case
Ответить
