Bacon and eggs for breakfast. Low to No carbs.... finally losing fat after five years of metabolic disorder. Low GI fruit for snacking. Oh and sardines in oil are great for melting the fat.🦋💕🦋 Be well try Jesus....he loves you. TOO MUCH INSULIN MAKES YOU FAT.🦋 This is why eating cake for instance....which is Sugar and Carbs....will be stored by the body within 24hours!👀

I am doing intermittent fasting and keto and I realize that mr. Jason Fung has more credibility than Thomas who I really do like. This is getting confusing but the only thing I can tell you is that when you are eating you eat your protein first like bacon and eggs and then save your carbs like strawberries for later. I am still confused but I have to look up the Jason Fung contact that was mentioned in one of the comments sections about eating carbs which would be strawberries with proteins and fats which is not what time is the saying. I am still confused and looking for some simple explanation when I'm eating strawberries on a keto diet can I eat it with yogurt which has proteins and fats with it or do I have to eat the strawberries separately that's my question

Comet June 14th Thomas stop talking about people eating all the donuts and not mixing them with the other food because people who listen to your channel are not going to be eating Donuts at all. For serious people like me this presentation got my first thumbs down because you are unclear with giving a specific simple example I can some of your other videos. Your technical knowledge is impressive and that's why I listen to you because you talk about studies and you read from the prompter very well but here is a nice simple question. I am on keto and intermittent fasting and I look up every product and categorize the number of fats I'm eating per item per day plus the calories plus the net carbs plus the fat. So when I'm trying to eat and I have to have my strawberries or raspberries the question is do you mean I cannot eat this with yogurt which has fat in it or do I have to eat them separately. I am so confused by this video that's why I gave it a thumbs-down I'm sorry but that's how I feel please clarify with some specific food combination examples.

Still doesn't make any difference when accounted for calorie balance. Calorie balance will determine if you lose fat or store it. Protein breakdown/muscle gain is waaaaay slower process, and when protein intake is equal, avoiding combining carbs and fats will make ZERO difference.

it’s not the carbs in and of themselves that make you fat, it’s eating too many calories (whether they come from fat or carbs) that makes you fat.

the whole idea behind macronutrient meals is this. proportional servings, proportional macros, fats are always or at least should be on the bottom end of this with 5-7g per meal. body types have a role to play in flexibility as well.

This is absolutely true and answers to all of my questions. I was always slim and had a good variety of food. I started to get fat when I started to eat pizza, doughnuts and fat with carbs. The main thing was that I didn’t put weight on I was swollen and increased size!

Lipoprotein lipase catalyses the partial hydrolysis of the core triglycerides of chylomicrons and VLDL to monoglycerides and fatty acids. The fatty acids are taken up by the tissue and either re-esterified and stored (in adipose tissue), OR utilized as an energy source (in muscle). (ie: not just stored)

Great fantastic. I’ve been practicing this. How much time in between a carb meal and a fatty meal. Not big ones but if I’m going to eat my carbs in a big salad how long should I wait until I have my steak or fat bomb? I love your work and advice. I’ve lost 83 lbs in almost exactly a year following you closely. I thank you so much but would like this particular question addressed. I understand that you say it’s ok for consumption together in small amounts.

The bottom line is "insulin increases the activity of the lipoprotein lipase" will trigger more of the making of fat cells. Example of those like explained in this video like big cheat meals, lots of high sugary donuts and etc.
Normally if one eats a a traditional fats + carbs meal like lasagna, croissant, lard with rice, carbonara, mac and cheese and etc, those will not cause the insulin spike in the first place.

Could be there is some science behind, but what you will mostly observe that it creates you a framework for dodging unhealhty food.
Pizza, burgers, regular chocolate, cakes, fries and whatever (lot of fat and carbs) .

Thing is there are some fat and carb food that are actually super healthy and good for weight loss.
I doubt you wouldnt lose fat from eating boiled potatoes with garlic/olive oil/ parsley and fish even if you overdo it with olive oil and green salad on a side that also has olive oil.
Given such foods exist the science feels like some well made bro science conclusions based on some probably scientific points.

Howeve feels like a good framework for weight loss, gets rid of tons of bad food. Btw always make sure to add fibers in it and avoid refined sugars as they in practice seem to increase hunger pangs. Eg you dont go sweetening that cottage cheese!
Fat+Protein+Fiber (good)
Carbs+Protein+Fiber (good if low on 'refined' sugars)
Fat+Protein+Carbs+fiber (good if it is low on sugars and healthy fats) - but for simplicity you can skip this.
