Viktor has the best lines in both seasons
Ответитьellos siempre estuvieron salvando al otro, siempre incluso desde niños
ОтветитьHe is perfect jayce was right
ОтветитьThis accurately depicts how season 2 went wrong.
ОтветитьThere is no prize to perfection. Only an end to pursuit.
Ответитьthere was an innovaters' competition in this universe as well
ОтветитьSo...is this the promise Jayce was talking about at the end?
ОтветитьHe should have destroyed it
ОтветитьAnyone here after the finale
Ответитьafter arcane season 2, this scene means so much more!!
ОтветитьIn the end...Jayce did keep his promise to Viktor :(
ОтветитьMy favourite thing about this show is that it will make you look back at past scenes in a completely new way
ОтветитьDamn thats hit harder now 😢
ОтветитьYES. I FOUND IT😭😭
ОтветитьJayce is gonna use the hexcore to save Victor's life somehow. I'd put everything I own on it.
ОтветитьRobotic Viktor will be interesting. Especially when he makes us question if he should have jumped.
In "Magi" terms, his Rukh (fate essence" will be quite black. As black as coal, smoke and painted metal.
Jace plays the brother in twd season 3
ОтветитьCan’t wait to see this man create Blitzcrank in S2
ОтветитьWhat a gut-renching scene
ОтветитьThis is such a greal line. It puts front and center something that every scientist should bare in mind. That progress can be good, but it can also bring unimaginable suffering. That we so often go for lofty high minded goals only for everything to crush and burn, because we lack patience and wish to see improvements now.
At the hearth of this theme are Jace, Victor and Heimerdinger.
I adore this theme which in recent years seems to have been forgotten.
It's kind of like perfect being the enemy of good. The opposite of good enough being the enemy of great, which is sort of like "if it ain't broken, improve it."
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьIN THE PURSUIT OF GREAT WE FAILED TO DO GOOD. HOOOOLY
ОтветитьMy skyrim modlist in a nutshell
Ответитьwhat episode is this again I need to rewatch it
ОтветитьJust realized Jayce stopped Viktor attempt to suicide the same way Viktor stopped Jayce, by "Am I interrupting".
Ответить"The best is the enemy of the good," Voltaire.
Ответитьgoated quote
ОтветитьThis show is a masterpiece
Ответить10 words to sum up not only one character arc but two at the same time. The show has brutally efficient writing
ОтветитьThis quote can say so much for the world as it is today. We focus so much on reaching the moon and mars, but fail to help those right under our noses. Homeless people everywhere, broken families and starving children, war and endless killing for no real gain other than greed. This quote still rings in my ears every single day since I first heard it on this show. Truly powerful.
ОтветитьThe way the melancholy music gently swells up as Victor says his iconic lines is perfection.
ОтветитьI genuinely love Viktor so much. This scene made me cry I love them both
ОтветитьCan someone tell me if this is like a famous quote from history or literature. I google it and I could not find anithing. It's really awsome if they make the quote for this show
ОтветитьReally like how this quote applies to almost every character arc in the show shows how grey the world really is
ОтветитьOne of the best lines in the show
ОтветитьThat line is basically the theme of the entire show. Much like the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Everyone is doing things with what they view as noble intentions, improving a city, advancing technology, creating a new nation, being a father. But it all goes tragically wrong, either due to their own misguided actions and mistakes, or due to factors largely out of their control. Sometimes things just don't work out, regardless of your intentions or even your best efforts. You can do everything right, but due to something as simple as random chance, it still might not work out.
ОтветитьThis is just one of the best quotes i read in my life and the more realistic too
ОтветитьI think this is my favorite quote of the series. So relevant for today.
ОтветитьI think the parallel between Viktor's and Jayce's suicide attempt felt a bit too forced (you can obviously argue why it'd make sense for Viktor to try to commit suicide after accidentally killing a friend of his). To me it felt like Jayce's reuse of Viktor's line is something he wouldn't have thought of in that moment. Like it's some kind of inside joke. Maybe it's a coping mechanism..? A part from that specific line this is one of my favorite scenes in the show. Both at their lowest, downhearted by the fatal consequences of their actions. Coming together and realizing that as Viktor says they lost themselves. It's also written really well like when Viktor wants Jayce to destroy "it" and Jayce assumes he is talking about his hammer. Jayce didn't have to tell the audience how much he regrets his actions and wants to draw consequences. We know that because even though he was just talking about a story from years ago, his mind was constantly revolving around his weapon.
Ответить4 years ago in an essay, I wrote for my university about Doctor Frankenstein, I literally said "In an attempt to be a great man, he failed to be a good man" as my closing statement. My professor literally took off points for that specific quote and now a famous TV show basically uses it as the Centerpoint. I should go back and show Dr. Drury this scene.
I really can't see any way in which I am wrong the whole story of Doctor Frankenstein is that because of his desperation to open a bastion of light into the world of science, he creates a monster and abandon's it. As a scientist, I fell in love with the story of Frankenstein. Mary Shelly is a true genius as she wrote about an issue that scientists will face till the end of time. Normal people always view progress as good, but scientists in their long pursuits of progress can see it's nefarious if not understood or controlled.
I like the polotics are VERY undertone in the show.. for both sides..
Personally I think this shows a lot about "today" and big corporations and their bottom dollar.. they exist for purposes outside of them selves, service the cavillations, but cant even "do good" for the people on the front lines.. respect.
What a great quote!
Ответитьcan we just talk about the parallels between Viktor saving Jayce from suicide in Act 1 and now it's the other way around
ОтветитьYou screwed up the title a bit
Ответитьa fine addition for my quote book
