Zohra Orchestra Concert at the Sydeny Opera House, 14 Oct 2019

Afghanistan National Institute of Music (ANIM) brought Zohra Orchestra, the country’s first all-female orchestra to Monash University’s Robert Blackwood Hall in Melbourne on 12 October and the iconic Sydney Opera House on 14 October 2019.

Supported by the Afghanistan Embassy in Canberra, the award-winning orchestra’s tour is part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Afghanistan, as well as the 100th anniversary of Afghanistan’s Reclamation of Independence.
